Ugh. A weekend where I'll actually have to cheer for the Chiefs.

Power and Light District is a good place to wander, lots of bars and restaurants.

Gonna be there for the badger game and will probably get our fill in that visit. We're actually trying to plan so we don't have to eat there

Just accept that the pack already has the division and you won't have to worry about it.

We're only 6 weeks in and the pack is already guaranteed no worse than .500 against the division.

I believe this make 6 or 7 packers road stadiums for me. Not bad.

Looks like it's right next to casual animal brewing. Could be doable. Though we'll all likely still be wearing our game watching gear so they may turn us away

BBQ:
-Get a Z-man at the original Joe's. It's the classic thing to do for a reason. You won't be disappointed.
-Q39 is up there with the best of them.
-Jack Stack, LC's, Woodyard, etc. are all great. Really can't go wrong.

Beer:
-Boulevard is the obvious choice. Have a great tour there as well if you have extra time.

Gameday:
-As others have said, buy your parking pass online before you get there. It's a lot cheaper than getting one at the stadium (but still expensive).
-Get there as early as you can. People will be lined up for hours before the lots even open. You'll never smell anything better in your life.
-Shouldn't have a problem with the fans, outside of a few mean drunks. People from KC are generally very nice.

Bars:
-Power & Light is fine for events but it sucks if you're just going out. Crazy expensive. Westport is much more of a college-like set-up with bars and should be the go to if you're wanting to hit different spots.
-Put down another vote for the Green Lady (and Black Dolphin, it's neighbor with the same owners). Easily my favorite bars in KC. Just your classic arse jazz bar that you can't go wrong with.

Wanted to ask...is there a particular side of the stadium or lot we should try and land in for parking? Is there one area (of the red parking) that's more of a fun scene?

Nah, it’s all the same. There will be tailgating literally everywhere.

Not sure if serious, but if we had more time there I'd love to check that out.

Go over to the City Market and ride the street car down Main St, there’s several breweries within walking distance of the streetcar stops. The streetcar is free on weekends. Taps on Main is a good place too, it has a large selection of craft beer and it’s a serve yourself place for the beer.
Have fun son!

don't judge it by its cover. or do, actually, if you're into the look it has. you'll know what i mean when you see it. it's walkable from power and light as well.

BBQ - KC Joes and Q39. I have tried many bbq restaurants in my 3 years here and I go back to these two the most.

Burgers - Burg and Barrel. Both locations are on the Kansas side, one only 15 minutes from Downtown.

Beers: Boulevard Wheat and Tank 7.

Places: College Basketball Hall of Fame

Download the KCityPost App. It will tell you where the streetcars currently are. They are free to ride and make getting around downtown easier.

Tickets, purchased. Section 338, $209 a piece all in, so not terrible and we're OT ballers anyway.

Likely to be more packers fans in the 300 level anyway.
