Want a lot of money? Use your government position to help a corporation at the taxpayers’ expense and then that corporation will reward you later with a cushy, high paying spot on its Board.
Amazing how these politicians just accumulate more and more wealth, isn’t it?

What does a governor make? How about an ambassador? It can't be that much if the President makes $400k. What kind of income would you need to get a $2M+ loan? Not to mention what kind of income would support such a loan safely? I assume being able to name drop the former UN ambassador isn't coming cheaply for boeing.

The current governor of South Carolina makes $106k. The UN ambassador makes $130k to 160k .
