Just rewatched the game. Seemed he was one step away from sacking the quarterback every play he was rushing in the second half... seems there’s a correlation between the interceptions and accuracy from Florida qbs in second half with him rushing.

He needs more PT. Definitely needs to be on the field, opposite KC, on pass-downs. Keep charging!

Was he the one being tackled right before he could get to the qb?

Saw that several times.

When Marcel Brooks is in the game he is the most athletic player on the field and it's not even close. The kid needs more playing time.

No doubt the pressure in the second half had an effect on the Gator qb. He didn't look near as composed with his passing as he did in the first half. That's why many of us wonder why more pressure wasn't applied in the second quarter of the game. It was rather evident the kid was having his fun with his passing game.

We get a safety if they are not blatantly holding Shelvin.... he was being neck wrapped the whole game....

Refs were letting them play, it was like an Alabama game to be honest.

I think the Tiger D blitz one time in the first half.

It makes sense because it forces the QB to make accurate throws because you have 7 or 8 in coverage. In CFB QBs do not usually make accurate throws consistently.

But credit to Trask. He was on point and made accurate throws and had a little luck on his side during the first half.

Once Trask proved he can make accurate throws the LSU defense was forced to dial it up with blitzes and stunts in the second half because they could not get sufficient pressure with a 4 man front to effect the throw.

The best case for defense is to get sufficient pressure on the QB with a 4 man pass rush and drop 7 in coverage. That's what Aranda was initially going for.

Marcel coming on is one of the reasons I think we beat Bama. He’s athletic enough to pressure Tua and not whiff

It should have been a safety anyway. The penalty for holding in the end zone is a safety.

KC implied in an interview that Brooks is still learning the ropes but is coming along well. I think we will continue to see more of him.

That A gap stunt is something he uses sparingly. It works very well. We did it against UT. I haven’t noticed it since. 18 had the stunt against UT. We’ll have to Iliad it more than a few times in TTown.

Brooks is settling in at an OLB pass rusher.
However he was targeted to be a SS during his recruitment

we also get a safety if they just call said blatant holding since it was in the endzone.
