The Bears aren't as good as you think

Yes, they've got solid defense and yes, we're going on the road. But the notion that this is a guaranteed loss isn't so. Let's look at their schedule thus far:
Week 1- lost to Green Bay, 10-3
Week 2- beat the awful 1-4 Broncos, 16-14
Week 3- beat the awful 1-4 Redskins, 31-15
Week 4- beat the Vikings, 16-6
Week 5- lost to the Raiders, 24-21
They've got a tremendous defense but that's partly because they've played some bad teams. They don't have a signature win and average 17 points a game. Almost half their season points came against the Redskins, who finally won a game today because they met up with the hapless Dolphins.
I'm not saying we should be favored but this is not an automatic loss where we just rest our core and eat it. We can win this game.

Are there a bunch of fans or media saying this is a loss?

I think there's quite a few folks on here that have written this game off as a loss.

This is a good thread.

Minnesota is a pretty good team and they totally clamped down on them.
It's gonna be another defensive game, my concern is I don't trust teddy to make an easy pass.

Soldiers Fields is where Saints dreams comes to die.

Anyone know if Trubiski will be ready for next week or will it be Daniels?

With the way our defense has been playing, I totally expect another 13-6 type game at Chicago. I think it’s winnable trubisky or no trubisky.

You can run on the Bears. Skrine is pretty weak at corner also. Just need to attack their weaknesses and play good defense and we can win that game.

I’ve written it up as a loss just because it’s at Soldier Field and they’re coming off a bye

1. Mitch Trubisky, QB — The Bears are going into this week hoping he will start against the Saints. Last year he struggled against the Rams after missing two games with an injury before playing well in victories over the Packers and 49ers. He’s got to be back. And he’s got to be better.
2. Akiem Hicks, DE — He suffered what looked like a nasty elbow injury via friendly fire early in the Raiders game. After Khalil Mack, there’s no other defensive player the Bears can afford to lose for an extended period of time.
3. Kyle Long, RG — Battling a hip injury, Long’s play has regressed past the point of just not being as good as he was in his prime. Whether it’s Long’s own improvement or Plan B, the Bears need to upgrade performance at this position.
4. Charles Leno, RT — A Pro Bowl player as an alternate last year, Leno is struggling to find his 2018 form. He already has been called for more penalties (eight) in five games than all of last season (seven).
5. Roquan Smith, LB — He returned from a one-game absence for a personal issue, but wasn’t the same player against the Raiders, despite nine tackles. If this situation lingers, Nick Kwiatkoski will look like a better option more and more.
6. Taylor Gabriel, WR — He’s missed two games with a concussion he suffered after scoring three touchdowns in the second quarter against the Redskins. The Bears have other issues, but still no speed element to replace Gabriel.
7. Cody Whitehair, LG/James Daniels, C — Their position-switch in the offseason seemed like a sure thing, but hasn’t panned out as well as expected. Nagy said he is not considering switching back, but their play is key to an offensive-line improvement.
8. Leonard Floyd, LB — Was on his way to the much-anticipated breakout season when he sacked Aaron Rodgers twice in the opener, but hasn’t made an impact play since — and was particularly quiet (one tackle) against the Raiders.
9. Bilal Nichols, DL — He’s missed the last three games with a broken right hand he suffered in Week 2 against the Broncos. The Bears’ depth has covered for his absence, but if Hicks is out any length of time, his return becomes much more vital.
10. David Montgomery, RB — The rookie might be a good fit for Nagy’s offense, but he has struggled to make something out of nothing. He has 69 carries for 225 yards (3.3 avg.) and two touchdowns and nine receptions for 72 yards (8.0 avg.).

I never understood what the hell Ryan Pace saw in Mitch Trubisky when Mahommes and Watson were still on the board

Dude Kirk Cousins is utter trash. That guy folds in every big game.

I shutter to think of what is going to happen if Teddy holds the ball to long against Mack
Posted on 10/14/19 at 8:02 am to ClientNumber9
If the saints give the ball to Murray 20 times they win the game. If they try what they did with an obviously hurt Kamara against the jags they lose
Posted on 10/14/19 at 8:29 am to ClientNumber9
Don’t underestimate the Bears. Going to be a tough win. Heck the Jags were a tough win. Just glad this is not a late season game in wintery Chicago
