The Fox analytics and commentating team discerned that the Rays' pitcher was tipping his pitches and that's why the Astros were able to ring up 4 runs in the First Inning.

After the game that pitcher himself indicated that he was unintentionally tipping his pitches. The Astros' hitters knew whether a Fastball or Breaking Ball was coming before the ball left the pitcher's hand.

I wonder if the that Atlanta Braves pitcher who suffered that 10 run First Inning was tipping his pitches?

Thoughts?

Pretty sure the Braves used like 2-3 pitchers by the time the first inning was over, so it would have had to be multiple pitchers tipping

I dont like the Astros at all or their massive douche canoe following on the MSB, but if they are able to pick up on a pitchers tendencies and hes too stupid/shitty to address it...then hats off to the astros. Perfectly legal and not Bush league in the least.

I saw people on twitter calling the astros classless and cheaters for doing what they did. If you know at a pitcher is pitching a fastball based on his glove height, what are you supposed to do, forget that you know that information?

Yeah I mean that's absolutely retarded

The catcher gives multiple signs with a guy on second too. If they didnt do that, should the Astros ignore that too??

I’m not an astros fan at all, but I’ve noticed that ANY team that has a large contingent of fans located on one message board on the internet, gets labeled as a ‘douche’ fan base

Every single one of them

Don't think so but the Cards did a very good job of laying off Folty's slider.Something they didn't do in game 2.

By saying the Astros are smart for catching a pitchers tendencies and capitalizing and saying people that think that's Bush league are stupid?

To the poster above, this is an example among many why the average Astro fan on this site is a douche canoe.

Studying video of the opposing pitchers and discovering "Pitch Tipping" is perfectly legal. You should be angry if your team's analytics doesn't include this technique.

The MLB has the whiniest bitch-made fans in the history of organized sports.

Good insight. Maybe the Astros quickly determined that the Slider was not going in the Strike Zone, so, naturally, they held fire as soon as they realized what was pitched.

Nah, twitter is great. The people I follow give great content, especially great MLB content. The reply's to that content is what I was talking about.

Astros had 10% of the activity here in 2014 when I joined.

The bandwagon is why I dislike them. A majority of the ‘fans’ now have no clue about the team’s history or what happened in the early part of this decade.

It isn’t like the Cubs or Bosox who have fans no matter what.
