How many of you all still have turf from the LSU/UF game in 1997. I thought it was kind of weird how everyone was ripping up grass during the post game celebration, but for a few years it seemed like every house I went to in BRLA had Tiger Stadium turf from that game on display.
It’s interesting that 3k (how many people were on the field?) all decided to grab some grass at the same time.
Not criticizing.

I had it under the glass on my coffee table for a while. It's long gone now.

I still have a few blades of grass in a ziplock bag in storage somewhere.

I have my bag of grass still. It sits right next to the cigar I smoked on the field after the Auburn '01 game.

I was able to transplant it into my yard and it's taken over and now my whole yard is Tiger Stadium turf. I'll sell you some.

I have it somewhere.

I also have a piece of the 'Work 'em silly Gators' sheet (somewhere) that got shredded by the student section a half-hour before kickoff. Gator fans who brought it over regret that decision.

I had some in a zip lock from the Tennessee game in 2000. Might still have it somewhere.

I wasn’t there for that game, I was stationed at Fort Irwin, CA for that one as a “werewolf” OPFOR advisor and we had a unit coming in to train the next day.

I was at the Tenn game a few years later when Rohan and the boys beat a highly ranked Tennessee team the week after we had lost to UAB (2000 I think)? I went to the field that night and still have that tuft of grass in a ziplock bag somewhere in a trunk of LSU stuff.

Had some but lost it in Katrina. It was funny to hear the stories for years after about people who ripped the turf up and claimed it was from the Tiger’s eye at mid field. Whelp, not true since we didn’t have that painted on midfield in 1997

IMO the single greatest thing I've even seen in Tiger Stadium. They thought they were hot shite waving that thing around til that kid ripped it from them. Then they try to tell the cops and the cops didn't give a shite. It was priceless.

I remember my mom's co-worker at the time freaking out when she woke up Sunday morning and there was a bag of grass on kitchen counter. Her son who was a student at LSU had some explaining to do.

You remember that incident?? Actually, to come clean... I may or may not have been involved in the operation that day... depends on the statute of limitations on swiping the "Work 'em silly Gators" sheet is???
