In before people in this thread completely gloss over the fact that trump's response to this question is almost as bad as Kerr and pop's responses.

He was asked if he thought it was wrong for China to pressure the NBA on this. Trump then criticized Kerr and Pop and never mentioned if he thought China was wrong for pressuring the NBA

Trumps positions on China are as clear as day and have been out there for years. He didn’t need to repeat something everyone is already aware of. Nice try though.

Trump has been railing on China long before this issue and hes personally imposed tariffs on the country and hurt their economy. Are you really going to measure his entire stance on China in this one particular moment even after everything hes said and done before this?

The direct quote from Trump after being asked this question was, "They have to work out their own situation. The NBA, they know what they are doing."

Not his issue in that vacuum, NBA opened the door for this when they decided to go left political under Silver, Stern (as Democrat as he is) never would've let this happen when he was commish bc IT PLACES THE NBA IN THE PRECARIOUS POSITION RELATIVE TO CHINA AND THEIR DISNEY BOSSES LIKE THEY ARE IN RIGHT NOW.
