The decision on Syria may doom Trump for 2020.

This is how the next few months will play out... Turkey invades NE Syria in the next week or two, thousands of casualties on the Kurdish side, both military and civilian. Mass atrocities by Turkish troops in Kurdish areas (rape, torture, etc.), major prison breaks from the Al Hawl camp letting thousands of ISIS prisoners free. You can bet the media will blame Trump for this, which in this case would be accurate as it was the call he just made as Commander in Chief to let Turkey in and withdraw our forces. This will be a legitimate foreign policy scandal, unlike Ukraine. And there will be widespread, bipartisan backlash as there should be from the horrific consequences of this decision.
I will never vote for a Democrat, but may vote 3rd party now. I'm not in a swing state so doesn't matter anyway.

Didn't the Kurds agree to this?

Not. Our. Problem.
We are not the world police. Let them kill each other.
No more American lives.

What do you want to do exactly? More middle east intervention?

Will likely garner him more votes than he will lose.

Tell Erdogan that his troops and/or planes will be shot down the moment they cross into Syria. We don't have to have boots on the ground but can use our air superiority to prevent a Turkish invasion.

Congrats on making my up shite in your head and then using it to decide how to vote for a candidate a year from now, fricking drama queen

So your answer is yes.
Same shite, different year with neocons.

This would be like if we told Israel that the Palestinians or the Iranians were free to take over the Golan Heights. We are clearly on the wrong side here, supporting Turkey is supporting ISIS, one and the same.

Third party is a vote for a democrat. If you can’t figure that out then everything you typed is gibberish. I tend to think you are a troll.....

They don't support it, that was reporting from a prior security arrangement from a month ago.

Russia is gonna blow the Turks to oblivion as soon as they come across. Then Israel is gonna pretend to be someone else and fire on the Russians.

Trump won by not being a neocon... now you’re telling me he will lose by not being a neocon.

Trump is enabling genocide. And remember we just induced the Kurds to get away from the border- clearing the way for a Turkish invasion, it turns out.
I did not support impeachment but now I do. He is, for whatever reason, enabling a genocide of the Kurds, the "ally" in the Middle East who has been the most loyal to us, and we have constantly rewarded by betrayal. This one is the worst yet.
The president needs to be removed from office. I don't think Mike Pence would go along with this for one minute if he were president.

Let the downvotes rain down, but bookmark this thread. Y'all are not thinking through how this plays out long-term and how the media will use it to undermine Trump.

Trump could cancel the sport of football and would still get re-elected in a landslide.
