Should we trust the CIA? The FBI?

As a right winger, I’ve seen a huge swing in trust on my side of the aisle when it comes to the two subject line agencies. I see a lot of people saying things like “the people at the top are corrupt, but the rank and file are good people.”
Motherfricking management doesn’t just Spring forth from the head of Zeus, fully formed and created. The people at the top have spent decades in the system. They weren’t honest agents for decades and then suddenly became corrupt and powermad when they made director.
The leadership at these agencies reflects the rank and file, as it is. Maybe there’s a good apple left somewhere, but the average agent is James Comey or John Brennan.
That’s the nutty cognitive dissonance people on the right are experiencing right now. I’m eager to see a final step toward realizing this.
We need to end the CIA and FBI.

Do you trust a used car salesman?

FBI can be trusted at the lower investigatory levels, like if a local bank is robbed the local agent(s) is probably a decent fellow just trying to do his job well. At the administrative level, hell no.
The CIA can't be trusted for anything at any level.

CIA: Not only do I not trust them, but i assume they’re lying at all times.
FBI: rank and file agents seem mostly honest, but leadership is partisan and crooked.

Very few in the CIA are "good people", at least the ones that operate and influence things... I am not talking about the clerks, security, etc...
In you general field office, the FBI is usually good people...

Crazy how they keep selecting the corrupt ones for leadership roles.

The base level FBI guys I’ve known/worked with we’re good agents as far as I could tell. The further you move up the food chain, however, the more you have to play their game. Some that I’ve known decided to start playing. More have changed careers, though.
Don’t know anyone in the CIA (that I know of).
In short, no I don’t trust either.

I agree, that rank and file comment is to try and keep some form of control over the people. The FBI is a fricking joke and it is crooked from top to bottom. If i were an honest FBI agent I would either call my own press conference or quit. The FBI and the CIA along with DOJ and judiciary are responsible for every single problem we face in this nation.

It’s obvious they have gone rogue, Politically corrupted. They are an enemy of the people, and what they did, and it’s no doubt they did it, with the fake Russian investigation and surveillance of Political parties and News reporters; while crushing the Obama Whistleblowers, while Brennen encouraged WB turn on Trump....Bulldozers need to be sent to Their location...

Well, the right has never truly trusted any governmental agency, hence the strong continuous fight for the 2nd Amendment.
The left are the ones who changed.
Back in the 70s, governmental agencies like the CIA and FBI were up there on the top of the list of public enemies.
Only now that they benefit from their existence do they fully support them.

Nope. I dealt with them some overseas and they put themselves and their bizarre self image as badasses over everything and everyone. I once saw them almost get some guys killed, FOR NO REASON. All because they were trying to be secretive when there was no reason to do so.

They are the ones that ruthlessly play the system and advance at all costs... The entire government system rewards the shittiest of the shitty...

That is because the leftist of the 70's are who are now running those agency's.

Who was it that wanted to "Fundamentally transform the United States"?
That included weaponizing the IRS and politicizing the CIA and FBI.
And they were 8 years into it. Another 8 and we would never recover. We may not recover now

It is one of the reasons why I find it hilarious how the progressives refer to themselves as “the resistance”.
You aren’t the resistance if you control the vast majority of the media, the wealthy class (celebrities, CEOs, etc.), public/private social forums, the education system, the intelligence community, etc.
The left isn’t the resistance. They are the fricking Empire.

The FBI leadership appears to be terminally-corrupted.
Same for the CIA.
Again, burn them to the ground, salt the ashes, nuke the sites from orbit.
It's the only way to be safe.
I'm for disbanding all of the IC, save the NSA. Let Military Intel handle the rest. Very little of what the CIA does should be handled by anything other than SpecOps, anyway.

Just act like you trust them but ALWAYS doubt them. They are not on your side. Never talk to a FBI agent without a lawyer.
If an FBI agent approaches you and says, "we just have a few questions". Your response should be, "Look guys, I understand you have a job to do and I really want to help. I totally respect the work you guys are doing. But to be honest I gain noting out of this potential questioning session. I know as the saying goes, 'if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about'. That is true, I do have nothing to hide. However what I'm concerned about is the potential misrepresentation of my answers. So, I do want to help you guys but I believe the best way to proceed is for you to forward your questions to my attorney and we will respond in writing. You guys have a great day and I'm happy I can be of assistance. Just email those questions to my attorney and as soon as the email is received I will respond ASAP.
Bye now."
