OSU looks like the most complete team so far. I think they have only given up 43 points in 5 games. LSU is better they just haven’t looked good on defense yet. I think that will change as the young linebackers get experience and the D line gets healthy. I also think LSU and Joe Burrow aren’t getting the amount respect that they earned in Texas.

Northern bias must be the reason why the B1G didn’t make the CFP the last 2 years and why the SEC has at least 1 every year. Makes sense.

Northern Bias = 4 teams from Southeast in the Top 5? Do you understand geography?

I guess I’m one of those people that could care less about polls until the last 2 weeks of the season. Take care of business and it all works out in the end.

Rankings are for ratings..

Herbstreit pushed for Ohio State to be number one. Obvious homer bias.

1,3,5,7 and 10 are all from the SEC # 2 is also a Southern team but yes the polls are northern biased

To this point the Tigers are the equivalent of Texas Tech under Mike Leach. We score a lot and play just enough defense to pull away. The meat of the schedule is coming and if they do a better job on D this team get plenty of respect

wut? Did you ever watch Texas Tech? We ha 1 game like that, vs #11 in the road. We played 3!scrubs that we destroyed. We gave up a couple of stupid drives in the NWSt and Vandy games but we’re in total command of both. Texas Tech Games are all like the 2nd half vs UT

The Butteyes are good. I don’t like them but that game would be a toss up.

If only polls decided championships, but alas, they don’t anymore, so none of this matters anymore at this point. LSU wins out, and they can put LSU at 25 and it won’t matter one bit.

I’m not so sure it is entirely the northern media. It seems kind of odd to me that our last game was at 11:30, our next game is at 11:30 and on the SECN. Could there be some effort to keep LSU off of national TV channels and off of prime time? It is not that important to play on one of the national channels or in prime time for a team, but it is for a Heisman candidate. Burrow has been stealing a little thunder from Tua and others lately.

“It's more demographics than geography. They need eyeballs on screens. If USC or UCLA was plausibly worth a shite the hype machine would be working overtime for them.”
That’s exactly why the NFL cheated the Saints in playoffs, so they could have the Los Angeles market for Super Bowl. If you don’t think money rules, think again.

Texas boat races NEB. No doubt. NEB is equivalent to S.C. in the SEC

Nebraska blows, that win was not impressive at all. 4-8 team last year...
What would happen if Vandy played Nebraska?
Our performance defensively vs Vandy has hurt our ranking.

That guy is a supposed LSU fan but for some reason he is always on here putting them down. Makes a lot of sense to me. Lol.
I am not worried about the polls at this point but the sad thing is neither OSU or Wisconsin play an out of conference Power 5 team. OSU remaining strength of schedule is 45 and LSU is 7 so how do you compete year in and year out with teams like that. We have very little margin for error and have to hope they have one decent team in that conference that can beat them. Oklahoma is usually in the same boat and this year, so is Clemson. It’s not a very good or fair system. Not much we can do about it though but try to win out. With our schedule, we should get in even with 1 loss but let’s hope we don’t even lose 1.

who cares. The polls are 100% meaningless at this point. If we win out we're in, if we lose 1 we might be in.
