Serious lower back pain on left side, can’t lay down. It’s tolerable to sit up but tightens up even then too. Had some bloating that has gone down a bit so I thought it was just gas at first. Any recommendations out there?

Drink tons of water ... had to go to the e.r. over one a few days ago. Got one in the bladder now that should pass at any time and a 9 mm in the kidney that currently is causing no trouble.

It is miserable but you have to hope it is a smaller one. If nausea kjcks in, I would go to the e.r.

Just go ahead and get the procedure where they stick a fire hose up your dick and laser it.

Kidney stones were the worst pain I’ve been in. Hope it passes quick.

Go to the ER, bro. No reasoning in suffering.

When my uncle went to the hospital with one in the 1950’s, the doctor prescribed beer, no kidding. It does make you pee, right. I believe the recommendation of a hot bath and copious amounts of water is best in lieu of an ER visit, if you don’t want to go that route for the pain relief. I’ve also heard that jumping jacks or similar can help dislodge it enough to get it moving, but I never felt like doing that with mine, and it passed pretty quickly.

Good luck, they are very painful, and once you have one, there could be others in your future. Drink a lot of water everyday to reduce the chance of them forming.

I’ve had a half dozen the last 15 years or so. I agree fill up a bath tub with a ton of hotttttt water.

My doctor told me to drink lots of beer to help pee.

I’ve had surgery twice to remove stone. It’s not as bad as you’d think better than pissing blood and felling like someone is twisting a knife in your lower back.

I hope you mean a .09 mm seeing as that a 9mm would be something like .39 of an inch. Don’t think that is going to come blasting out the ole pee hole.

I get 2-3 every year. Lots of beer helps. If it’s your first one I’d suggest a doctor visit to confirm it’s a stone and see what size it is and if you have multiple stones. Try to pass on your own, the alternatives suck.

Never had a kidney stone, and the idea that it could happen to me gives me tremendous anxiety

Drink lots of light beer. The alcohol will help numb the pain, and you will eventually be pissing like a race horse.
