Looking for a good little flashlight for home/work use. Any suggestions of some you guys might be fond of? Preferably a one that you replace batteries not recharge.

My wife bought a Duracell 1000 flashlight not long ago that has 3 light modes. First turned on it is on bright mode, one more click and it gets about 1/4 less bright and the 3rd mode is strobe.
The end where the bulb is can be turned to either allow for a wide angle lighting situation or turned to concentrate the beam in a tighter circle.
It is black, about 1 ft. long, uses 4 C cell batteries and is very well built and solid.
Not sure what it costs, but if the wife bought it, I know it didn't break the bank, or even put a chip in it.
ETA: Just went on-line and saw where this exact model is right at $35

You say little, but how little do you mean? What's your max price? What are you gonna be using it for (some can be too big or bright)?

Streamlight LED DS w/ rechargeable battery. Tough, plenty bright and not overly big. Do not get anything with CR123 batteries. I have a Streamlight ProTac HL, and it's awesome, blinding and small but it gets hot and those batteries are hella expensive.

I have the Tikka, and it’s been great. Best thing in the tool chest.

Maglite. They just work.
I have probably a dozen of the smaller AA Maglites throughout the house. I have a LED C battery size in the bedroom, truck, and workshop. With LED bulbs, none of mine a rechargeable as they just last longer.
AA Maglite
C Maglite
ETA: I price shopped both of those when I bought them last. It has been over a year since Ive bought either and that is probably not the best prices nor close to what I paid for any of mine.

I have two of these and really, really like them a lot
Nitecore MH20. Has a rechargeable battery that can be charge in the light.
1000 lumens
Pretty small but not too small.
If you want to spend more let me know. I can suggest a few other brighter and more expensive.

Sometimes you just don't realize how something sounds until someone else points out the obvious. Good one.....

Until the batteries in them get hot and swell and you can't get them out of the maglite. Then they are a bitch to GET to work.

Why not both? I have a Fenix UC-35. It uses a rechargeable and removable battery. I use the flashlight as the charger and keep 2-3 batteries charged. When the battery is dead, I can either change to a new battery or recharge or put in two, non-rechargeable CR123 batteries. 1000 lumens max output.

I have a NEBO. That little yellow strip you see is bright as hell LED strip that you can use the light like an automotive drop light.
BTW, Just ordered this rechargeable one for working at my shop.
Ebay had it for the cheapest.. LINK

Never had an issue with any of my replacement batteries. Is this with the rechargeable ones or replaceable too?

Replaceable. All my mini mags have done it if I've left them in my truck console.
My D cell ones too if I've left them in the door of my truck (inside pocket)....Batteries swell and you MIGHT be able to drill them and put a long screw in them and pull it out...or not.

Love my Fenix lights, but for the house I depend on my Streamlight Stinger. Great light and great service. I dropped my well used one in the pool, something shorted and they sent me a brand new one for the cost of the freight.
