only this time, focus on the elite of the elite, don't even care if they are committed.

get them to BR and let them see what's happening with this offense.

you currently have the next crop of superstar WRs committed already.

just needs a top of the line signal caller to cap this one off.

I was thinking the same thing this weekend.

We need another Joe. So the Coach E and B offense can be great with concepts, but you need elite talent at the QB position as well and give them the keys.

These past 2 weekends were some selling points. We already have the elite WR talent as well.

Don’t see why a QB wouldn’t want in on this. #1 overall pick potential in this offense.

You are spot on. Need to go all out for the best. After watching Finley and Johnson on film, to be nice yhey are not LSU material. With the wr’s we have , and now with Brady on board, the very best know they can come here , put up ridiculous numbers, then mske millions. A no brainer.

Is it too late to grab a big name at this point, and how loyal is the staff to the two current QB commits.

I’d get Elias in Bryce Young’s ear

Its not too late. We have a whole season to showcase our offense. As for as our current commits, this is a business. Simply cannot afford to miss on maybe the most important position on team.

Is Bryce young an elite passer? I remember I watched him last year and it seemed like he was mostly a threat with his legs but it’s been awhile so he definitely could’ve gotten better.

He’s putting up absurd numbers so far this year

Yes we can. We can just as easily pick up a transfer in the spring/summer.

The way the transfer market has evolved in recent years, this may be the best way to get a superior QB.

I agree. But do we really need that guy for next year? No reason why Brennan can’t hold it down until 2021. If we can’t get a stud in this class, getting one for 2021 is critical

Agreed.

If the draw is a top offense we need to start appealing to the top 2-3 guys.

Brennan will play two seasons which will leave us sitting nicely for a young guy to come in and start in 2022. As soon as Joe graduates, I’d hire his Dad to scout around the part of the state they live in and find another kid similar to Joe.

Holy crap, what was so wrong with this comment? Anyone who was part of the 12 downvotes care to give some input on this? Geez.

I get why everyone is fired up but the dominoes have fallen for 20'. It is what it is, but LSU's offense will pay dividends in 21' with QB recruits. Right now is when you get on them. I look for us to land Nussmeier's kid as a high-4* and maybe eventual 5*, in addition to another elite guy.

Brady has an entire year to watch Myles work in live games and build a system to fit his strengths, which is exactly what he said his philosophy is when interviewed Saturday night, and what we've been clamoring for. Myles will likely graduate this year and be able to enroll as a grad student, meaning he gets a more relaxed course schedule to study film like Burrow and Mettenberger had when the light came on.

We are in better shape at QB than I can remember since maybe 06'. Myles is your starter for the next two years baring complete failure over the course of this season. If that happens you go get a grad transfer, and sell them on putting up video game numbers in this system. If Myles establishes himself you have a year to watch Parrish, Finley, and Johnson take practice reps and see if one of them hits. If you're not satisfied, you have a banner year with likely your pick of the litter in 21', with a full season to develop.

There's a huge thread over on 247 about this. Everyone is pretty much in agreement.

There's no reason we can't recruit the best QBs in the country year in and year out, especially if this is going to be our style of offense going forward.

The wide receiver corps is going to be loaded for years. Brady doesn't seem like he's going anywhere anytime soon. None of this works, however, if you don't have an elite guy back there making the throws and reading the defense.

Think what Lincoln Riley has done at OU. That offense this year is nothing like what they’ve been doing now that Hurts is the QB.
Adapt the scheme to your talent.

Bet you thought the same thing about Burrow at some point last year. Reps and scheme fit matter.
