I've been skeptical of both Finley and Johnson from the start. I'm fine with taking one of them for depth purposes, but I have a feeling if we have to rely on them to start we would come away disappointed.

Let’s have Haynes King visit for the A&M game and put on the full court press. Would be nice sitting as one of the top teams and offenses in the nation while A&M comes to town with 4 losses.

Brennan is playing for his job these next three games. If there’s any doubt at all in his performance, you bet the coaches will go all out for one of those listed or a portal guy.

Based on what? One half of somewhat meaningful reps. This coaching staff is making the right moves, including getting this kid time in real games to get acclimated. I think Brennan will surprise some people when he is handed the reigns.

This is pretty much the case for any team.
If a new team wins the cap, most recruits are already in the bag. It’s the next years recruiting class that will see the recognition bump.

Joe Burrow broke all sorts of state records in high classification Ohio football, and was a composite 4-star. He was far better than Johnson or Finley will be coming out of high school.

Ya'll are giving this coaching staff two much of a pass. What makes Lincoln Riley such an offensive genius is he adapts his game plan to the QBs he has on the roster. If our coaching staff merely relies on talent and not focus on development of QBs we will have the same shite UGA had. We will have a log jam of talented QBs who will leave for greener pastures. We have the time to develop a few 4 star QBs while Brennan comes into his own over the next two seasons. Some of y'all mutha frickers are crazy. Get rid of two 4 star QBs that you can develop for one higher rated 2020 kid that more than likely will not beat out Brennan next year?! Yea Ok!

A year and a half ago when Burrow got to LSU, and all last year, you people were saying the same thing about him. Now you all are all over Burrow like he's a number 1 draft prospect. So what is it you have seen in Finley and Johnson to make you think they are not LSU material?

I think what’s cool about Joe is not only his physical ability, arm strength, accuracy and mental game, but heck he’s been studying film and reading defenses since third grade! That’s what makes him so successful, and the swagger comes from his football IQ, confidence and knowledge of defenses. That’s what we need to find again. Maybe Brennan has it. If not we need to keep looking.

Too late at early signing day. Sorry but neither of the current commits are elite and look like the same pattern of developing into average, at best, college QBs.

I doubt any of them know what the hell they are looking at when they watch film of Johnson or Finley. I doubt a single one of those have ever played the game, especially the QB position. They just see the ratings of Johnson and Finley and think they are not good enough for LSU. Ask them why or what they see on film that makes them think neither QB will be any good at LSU and they have no answers that are derived from actually watching film. You got to ignore the idiots. I suppose they think they are smarter than our staff.
