I flipped Burgers there when I was 15. Most of the chicks were a couple of years older.
Fond memories.
ETA; No pics. I doubt you'd want to see what they look like now anyway.

In the late 60’s my dad took a job at burger chef in laffy just so he could eat for free.

The Burger Chef was nothing without Jeff. Jeff was the brains of the operation.

I had a couple of the King Kong glasses back in '76. I wonder if my mom has them tucked away somewhere.

I didn’t know Burger Chef was real until this thread.
And I was born in the mid ‘60s.

Big treat when the parents would let us stop at the Burger Chef in Natchez.

Mr Cook
You do realize that Mr. Cook was Burger Chef before leaving Burger Chef in the 1980's.
I don't know how big Burger Chef was in the 1970's compared to McDonald's, but there were 2 Burger Chef/Mr. Cook locations in South Lafourche.
They were built well before the 1980’s when the first McDonalds was built in South Lafourche.
One is now a church, and the other is a Popeyes.
