Biggest question? How LSU’s offense would do in a big game. That question was answered.

LSU’s not going to play it safe and soft anymore according to Hanny. It showed LSU believes in their offense when the most maximum amount of pressure was being applied to them.

Hannagriff noted what LSU coaches did at the 4 minute mark of the game on offense was not ordinary among most coaches, they would have ran the clock. Ott responded defending the LSU coaching staff noting, you got the hottest QB in college football on your team and a LSU defense that had taken over 80 snaps and couldn’t stop Texas offense on four straight drives. LSU did exactly the right thing in moment.

That really didn’t need a 10 minute argument

Agree, nothing LSU did at the 4 minute mark on offense needs questioning. Just two radio guys haven fun needling each other after a truly remarkable LSU football game.

For once, Ott is right.

Running the ball and punting may be the conventional wisdom, but with a 6 point lead, it’s playing not to lose. This LSU staff went for the jugular and it paid off.

Now that the moment has come and gone, what will be done to fix the defense?

Didn't Texas have to replace 8 defensive starters from last year's team? Not to slight the offense, but we knew we weren't going against the '11 Alabama defense out there.

The LSU defense is a little concerning.

What you’re describing is a lot of pressure

The only play calls I disagreed with are:

1) START OF 3rd QUARTER - Swing pass to CEH - appeared telegraphed before it started and had no chance of getting a 1st down; would've run the ball on 3rd and 1 (QB sneak versus slow developing run play with handoff to a RB); this set up a quick 3 and out when we had great control of tempo and score (20-7), and set off the long-winded TD drive by Texas, thus creating the track-meet 2nd half for our defense to manage;

2) Last 4 minutes - I would've called a more high-percentage throw on 1st down than the 20-30 yd. sideline route to Chase - very low percentage.....would've been better to run the ball and force the 2nd timeout after 1st down -or- call a higher percentage short pass.

If we're being honest with ourselves, the likelihood of repeating (with success) the TD pass play that was made AFTER the sack and resulting 3rd and 17 situation was slim. It was great to see it happen, but nothing short of fantastic QB reaction to a big pass rush and great throw and catch made this happen.....very happy it worked out, but wouldn't take 10-1 odds of repeating the success under those circumstances. Kudos to Burrow, the OLine, and Jefferson for making a tremendous play under tremendous pass rush/pressure.

The swing pass call was fine.

Catch the damn ball. He had 2 blockers in front and would have got the 1st before contact.

Nothing wrong with the call, esp when Helaire had the blocking. But that same pass in iso needs to be one of our more elusive backs

Charlie is flat out wrong thinking running the ball 3rd and 17 was the right call.

We weren't stopping Texas

Hannagriff and Ott noted that LSU has a whole month to correct their mistakes as a team and to get other players such as their other runningbacks prepared to play and more importantly to learn how to pick up blitzes. Noted that Clemson lost to Alabama one year because their star freshman RB failed to pick up a blitz.

Hanny being so hypocritical about not wanting to talk about Les or Kansas because he's gone when Saban still lives rent free in his head
