Would you be okay if your spouse went to a rival school for a graduate program?

Like how would you feel as an LSU fan if she attended Alabama for her PhD in gender studies? Would you consider this a deal breaker? I'm torn this morning after she told me the news. We would have to move to to bama to support her decision.

Absolutely. There’s way more to life than just football.

Anyone who seriously cares about this... has real issues and needs to get a life.

a PhD in gender studies anywhere should be a deal breaker

will be interesting to see how many people gloss over that troll though

The move to Alabama is one thing, but caring about it being a rival program? You sound like a terrible husband.

I'd be more pissed about her spending money to get a PhD in gender studies.

Two things:

1) Stay away from ANYONE who majors in Gender Studies. They are likely mentally ill

2) This premise is stupid. People attend school to learn, not to play football. If both my kids got scholarships to Bama, Ole Piss, UF, whatever, I'd be thrilled.

My wife is from Nola but did undergrad and grad school in Tuscaloosa. No facks given here. The only time I’m allowed to call her a gump is on the LSU/Bama gameday.

Yes, but my identity isn't wrapped up in my fandom.

I wouldn't give a rats arse if my wife wanted to go to a "rival" school.

My daughter will be starting college soon and she knows I want her to go wherever makes her happiest and fits within her plan. Also need her to consider the money the schools will offer her as well.
