Got out at 23 with the goal of getting my degree and going back in. Finished my degree at 26. Began the process and found out we were expecting our first. Delayed submitting my application to OCS because I didn’t want to do OCS and TBS and leave her alone for the entirety of a pregnancy or with a newborn. Baby is now 2. Now or never.
No marine is going to pussy out and say it was bc of their wife they didn't follow through.
You knocked her up? And......
It sounds like you are lacking direction and backbone but the process will do its job on you.
Hope you have a backup plan.

Is a sergeant major a big deal, or not?
I may have met one this weekend and want to know if he is a big deal?

A sergeant major could be found anywhere from in battalion s-3, to battalion, brigade, division, corps, to sergeant major of the entire branch.

This is not the place to come for real advice. Talk to a Marine Corps OSO.
Fify
Most recruiters don't typically deal with OCS candidates, jusy enlisted recruits.
He needs to either reach out to other folks that did OCS at Quantico or his OSO.
USMC subreddit would be a good/better spot than here.
OP, you probably know this already but youre going to be a super old 2LT when/if you get commissioned.

Bruh, don’t do it then. You’re going to leave her a lot and your kids will always ask why you’re not home.
You’re Soldiers come first. While to civilians this sounds selfish to the Marines you’ll serve that will be all that matters; their needs.
If you can’t grasp that don’t do it.
Otherwise, good luck bro. Thanks for your service.

That's not true, particularly at the small unit level.

At least the OP will not have to worry about snakes.
Seriously, OP, talk to an OSO.

If you have that itch (and are not giving up a mid 6 figure job), go for it. Being prior-enlisted, you already know the drill. In my 40s, I was in better shape than any 18 year old, so I wouldn't worry about the physical part, you already know if you can do it.
If married with kids, make sure your wife can handle the separation and you being in harm's way, I've seen some good airman and soldiers derailed by spouses that couldn't handle the military way of life.

I went through in 2001, so I'm not sure how much it has changed. HMU at username@yahoo.com and I'll answer whatever questions I can. I was 27 or so when I started, so I can probably speak to your age concerns. Good luck and Semper Fi.

But I’d be mad too if my team just lost to Georgia State.
I can't believe you didn't get any recognition for this prime roast.
