A Gilbert woman has filed a federal complaint against a police officer from her east Valley town, alleging that she suffers ongoing brain damage from his excessive use of force during her arrest.
quote:
According to the complaint field last week, Officer Christopher Robinson of the Town of Gilbert Police Department used "unnecessary and unreasonable force" in throwing Glass to the floor after asking about an alleged vehicle burglary.
Event lead up
quote:
Glass was drunk, by all accounts. The two met in the parking lot, and an argument ensued. Her ex-husband walked away, taking their daughter with him to a nearby park.
In Glass' version of the incident, documents show, she decided to sit in his car and wait for him, but it was locked. The alarm went off. She instead took the stairs to his apartment and sat down outside the door, intending to speak to him when he returned.
quote:
But other residents had seen her in the parking lot and believed she was trying to break into her ex-husband’s vehicle. They called 911, which brought Officer Robinson to her ex-husband’s apartment door.

I think she will be getting paid! He would have been better off just following her down the stairs to an awaiting officer. She is good at bleeding for sure.

She was annoying. Seems like a routine arrest of a drunk.

Should have landed an extra elbow on the count.

Not sure, can you let a suspect walk away uncuffed? She earned her arrest. Resisting and getting a nose bleed is not a payable offense.

she needs to own her stupidity. I'd countersue if I were the officer.

None of his force was excessive, he was collected she wasnt free to leave & she was resisting arrest.
People have been killed for less.

frick that cop.
Why? He was dealing with a drunk who was resisting. He seemed to handle it well. Why is it the cops fault?

Drunk bitch fell over and busted her face on the cement. That shite happens every day in college towns across America. How is this news?

You are a good example of the mental disease that is liberalism if you thought that was the cop's fault.

Um, no. I despise progressivism but also don't worship the boys in blue either.

Literally did nothing wrong.

I thought they were professional.
I had an embarrassing incident with the law when I was younger and they handled her with kid gloves in comparison.

Why not pepper spray her and watch her tumble down the stairs?

That cop should be thrown down the stairs. EASILY could have apprehended her without the face plant to the concrete.
