Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has reportedly completed his investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses by the Justice Department and FBI.

The Hill's John Solomon made the announcement Thursday evening on Fox News.

"What I can report tonight, Sean, is that the IG has completed his work on the FISA abuse report. It's expected to be transmitted as early as next week to Attorney General William Barr and that will begin a process of declassification," the investigative reporter told host Sean Hannity.

To quell confusion, this is separate from Durham’s investigation

Meanwhile, Barr's "investigation into the investigators" is underway, and the attorney general has said he is working very closely with Horowitz. The inspector general can recommend prosecutions, and U.S. Attorney John Durham, whom Barr tasked to lead the review of the origins of the Russia investigation, has the ability to convene a grand jury and subpoena people outside the government.

You and me both brother.

Thing I’m having trouble reconciling is how Trumps boys literally are sent to jail and he still has t dropped the figurative hammer on anyone. You’d think that Barry’s henchmen going after Trumps crew would mean war.

Only way to semi drain the Swamp will be for Trump to win in 2020 and just have lots of bureaucrats retire because they can’t stand another four years. Horowitz and Durham will be nothing burgers. No one will be charged let alone end up in jail or convicted of treason as they should be if the Deep State wasn’t in charge.

I'm afraid this is all going to land with a big thud. It's all in the tea leaves, knowing that the JD wouldn't indict Comey or McCabe.

Nothing will happen.

Why would they already be talking declass if the evidence gathered was going to be used to prosecute someone? Wouldn’t that be held until needed?

I think the Mueller Report, on its face, was enough to begin impeachment proceedings, whether or not it was politically wise, or would lead to an indictment.

It laid out examples of obstruction of justice that should have triggered the process, regardless of opinions on how the investigation began.

I think that House Democrats hoped the Mueller Report would bring about a great awakening and a groundswell of public pressure for impeachment so that they could have their cake and eat it too: that is to say follow the clear will of the people AND impeach trump in the process; ideally riding both to a mandate election victory in 2020. They didn't want to do the heavy lifting, but unfortunately that is their constitutional responsibility. it seems they shirked it for a shot at retaining and gaining more power.

Anyway, that is a long winded way of saying
I think the expectation for it was so great, that it was always going to disappoint.
