Have an upvote just for "higgledy-piggledy" and the correct spelling of rigmarole.

Dude.. Three weeks ago there were two mass shootings in one weekend. People are on edge. Does it make sense for people to be on edge? I don't know, that's a different argument, but the fact is.. People are paying more attention to things that have always seemed normal.

Its like hurricanes. Depending on where it is projected to hit, people are evacuated, people are asked to take proper safety precautions, people fill the stores buying water, bread, gas, etc...

There is the potential for it to do some serious damage, but odds are it will not be as bad as it has the potential to be, but people still take action JUST IN CASE.

How hard is it to understand that people are more on edge today.. especially in the last few weeks so if someone sees something and there is a little bit of uncertainty they are more likely to inform law enforcement than if these mass shootings are no longer fresh in people's minds?

I was in school when there was a serial killer (Derek Todd Lee) out there. People were a lot more on edge than they were before there was a serial killer in the area. And once he was caught, people started to be less on edge.

Why is this complicated for people?

Yeah, the snowflake generation that hears about mass shootings on a monthly basis has no reason to react to seeing an armed person out of uniform on a school campus. Shooting never happen at schools after all.

I am not opposed to this concept at all....but LSU fricked it up because the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing and it turned into a clusterfrick.

To be fair a custodian can be a college aged kid as well.

He doesn't care about having it both ways. He just wanted to tell a irrelevant story about once having some shitty internship in a court house

He just has to respond with some kind of word vomit regardless of anything

Have what both ways?

All I am saying is that someone called it in because they had a concern. There is nothing wrong with that.

The reason this became as big of a story as it has become is because the local media decided to send out a notification that went out to people who didn't need to be notified.

If they didn't sent out their notification and only faculty and students would have received an alert through LSU's alert system, sure it would still have gotten out, but we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I think the reason we are even having this conversation is because the local media (WAFB, WBRZ, etc) sent this out which caused more panic than there needed to be.

So a CHP holder can conceal carry in campus? I did not know that.

I was curious about that. I always thought that was a no go, but that policy certainly seems to say it's Ok on LSU's campus.

Good thing LSU spent 150 million on that state of the art safe space or the casualties would’ve been higher

Is that the new safe space at Tiger Stadium or the practice facility? I can’t remember.

Common sense tells you he’s a cop if he’s open carrying on school grounds.

People who saw Charles Whitman carrying his guns to the tower thought he was just a guy who had been hired to shoot pigeons.

How old was the custodian? If they are younger than 40 they fit the description of what I am talking about as decades are 10 years and several generations are 20-30 years. It is called. Have you seen the majority of custodians at LSU, most are late 20s early 30s. Don't let assumptions get in the way of comprehension.
