Hopefully the era of stupid geek collectibles is coming to an end. I see Gamestops pushing stupid overpriced statues and Funko Pops more than games now in some locations.

I got loot anime a few times. It started off decent and quickly declined. Not to mention they would often have shipment delays, not include promised items, etc.

GameStop should go the way of selling hardware. Imagine GameStop as an Amazon or Newegg type company. They already sell consoles. Now they should offer GPUs, CPUs, RAM, Coolers, etc.
Can you imagine having a walk-in type store where you could "trade-in" a graphics card for an upgrade every year? They'd definitely have to evaluate their trade-in values for this though to make it worth it for the consumer.

Trade ins at GameStop were by far the worst value in the store.
The only thing it was good for was buying a used game when they ran a promo. Then you could get a decent price.
