Are there a few "major" players behind LFF?
And I am curious as to what type of platform they support, but this is all their website really says.

They want to keep pesky liberals from getting involved in your life so that they can get involved in your life.

They’re not the biggest player in town, but they’re pretty effective at getting the north Louisiana small government conservatives to vote to protect the state monopolies on gambling, pot, and alcohol distribution in the name of Jesus.

I have seen the fruits of some of their lobbying, and this is an absolute joke

Nothing says liberty and limited government like the government not allowing me to play daily fantasy sports on my free time with my money.

LFF/GM was able to shut down the sports book legislation this year. Does that answer your question ?

This is everything that is wrong with the religious right in LA.
They believe "limited government" means huge prohibitions on things like gambling, booze, weed, abortion, etc.
I'm ok if they are against such things on some sort of moral grounds, but to say that they supported "limited government" is a joke.
They have decent influence in N. LA, the state's bible belt.

This is the type of answer I was looking for.
So they are more influential in Nla?

They had plenty of help from the Video Poker Industry.

Yes, on account of, N LA has more Religions Right / Baptists, etc living there.
S LA is more of a mix. You have your heathens, and your Catholics, but the Catholics don't take political advice from their religion nearly as much as the Baptists do.
People like Mills get their "power" because the influence the reverends. Mills says there shouldn't be weed, so on Sunday, all the pastors preach about the devil weed, etc.

Pretty sure video poker was the one pulling the strings on sports betting.

Maybe so but his wife is a formidable fight. She is a strong independent woman who can handle things herself. So you'll be fighting both of them. Good luck.

It’s a combination of both. The video poker industry controls enough votes to swing stuff their way, but all the legislators from Lafayette and above are controlled but the LFF. The LFF’s bible thumpers vote no on everything gambling.
