Does Comedy Central not have actual programming anymore?

I haven't seen anything on the Comedy Central schedule but South Park and The Office marathons for months and months now.

Are they circling the drain? What's going on with them?

They break it up with The Daily Show at night and King of the Hill/Futurama in the morning. But other than the odd David Spade episode, yeah, it's South Park and The Office all day.

They get outbid for every standup worth a shite by the streaming services and cancel pretty much every original show they create after 1 season.

Those office reruns prolly crush their original content in ratings

They pretty much gave up on making original programming after Workaholics and Key & Peele for whatever reason. They barely make standup specials any more.

I've never understood this about Comedy Central. Even good shows need time to find their footing and build an audience. But I'm sure the syndicated stuff is much lower risk.

I’m completely okay with South Park marathons personally

Corporate is the best thing they have done in years, and no one watches it, so Season 3 will be its last.

It doesn’t help that Viacom makes their content hard to watch if you don’t have cable. Trying to watch a show like Corporate without cable access is damn near impossible until they sell off the rights after its already been cancelled.

Comedy Central will fold up shop once South Park decides to call it quits

Drunk History, they keep having commercials for South Side, and Crank Yankers is coming back.

I actually love coming home from work and laying around watching either of those shows if nothing else is on.

and office/SP re runs are better than 90% of what's on TV between 5-8

I think several of the cable channels have adopted the binge model, instead of showing 2-4 episodes of a bunch of shows, they're just showing large blocks of one show

seems like TBS has Friends on all day now

Broad City had a good 5-year run, but it ended in 2019.

I haven't watched Comedy Central in years. Nothing but re-runs, too many commercials.

If networks cancelled shows after 1 season then like they did now, The Office would have been canned after the first season.

They ended Nathan For You and Review prematurely, and I haven't wanted to watch CC since.
