That's why they are bringing in so many hispanics, they are going to need a huge workforce to try and feed everybody. It's all a part of the communist manifesto, you should read it some time

Which one played a bigger role? Decreased profits/revenue for their products or increased environmental and payroll costs?
The biggest factor was China closing its doors to imports of recycled plastics.
quote:
China’s “National Sword” policy, enacted in January 2018, banned the import of most plastics and other materials headed for that nation’s recycling processors, which had handled nearly half of the world’s recyclable waste for the past quarter century. The move was an effort to halt a deluge of soiled and contaminated materials that was overwhelming Chinese processing facilities and leaving the country with yet another environmental problem — and this one not of its own making.
IB REEEEEman will be here shortly to claim it was tarriffs, but he is Fake News.

It's now $25 to get a bad car wash in San Jose. They say it's because of minimum wage hikes.
I'm now just cleaning my car my self. It's about $12 to drive it through a car wash and then I vaccum out the inside myself.
Everything has gotten even more expensive. Lots of local restaurants have closed.
It's really weird living here now because of bad policies.
Liberals have bad policies? I'm shocked I tell ya!!

Raising minimum wage is nothing more than Lefties pandering to and attempting to bribe another low-informed non-affluent under-educated class of society for votes.
Affluent Lefties get to virtue signal and claim moral superiority to make themselves feel good, and Lefty politicians get votes.
When are you guys going to realize this is always their purpose? Everything the Left does is mostly for these reasons. And anything else that happens is merely a bonus or secondary effect.

You’ve got to wonder if it’s intended consequences.
It doesn’t take but a cursory first-order logical analysis to surmise what would happen with left policies, but alas the majority don’t seem to even attempt to contemplate it.

And guess who those unions contribute to?
Minimum wage laws are democrats voting themselves campaign contributions

I'm starting to think there's a bigger plan in place for the people who advocate the higher min wage. Massive layoffs, then the State takes over industry.
Never put that together, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're correct.

Never saw this coming. I thought it was going to be a panacea of roses, massages, and milk baths for all!

Meeeehhhhh lol dont hurt yourself with this stretch now lol. I aint saying it didnt put the final nail in but i think due to the cost of recycling it just wasnt nor has it been a money maker in a long time. Im sure they were mostly surviving on Government subsidies and even more money from the California government

The bigger plan is that a higher minimum wage becomes a higher baseline for unions negotiating new contracts for their members..."The minimum wage went up 50%, so we have to increase wages for our members to keep pace."
Bingo!!! This has been my argument for years.

Not to hijack but I found a gem in Denver. $15 and they vacuum it out, run it through the auto wash, then hand dry/wipe down the inside at the end.
