I guess they shouldn't have just shite all over the old fanbase, then, huh?

So, instead of promoting it to my kids and grandkids, I only endorse the despecialized versions of Star Wars, Empire and Jedi. I don't watch or even recognize the new crap.

Because it isn't any good.

Your link doesn’t contain the misinformation you quoted.

This is the timeline:

Lucas doesn’t want to do anymore blockbusters (Star Wars).

He names Kathleen Kennedy co-chair of Lucasfilms

He sells to Disney.

Disney promotes her to President of Lucasfilms

Over a year, nearly 2 years later, Kathleen Kennedy is named brand manager of Star Wars. That’s when she assumes the Kevin Feige role, even though it’s night and day what they actually do for the properties.

Bruh... The man who created the studio has said it himself multiple times. He chose her. End of story. Roll credits.

More than likely yes, but depending on who they gave creative control to. But I think it would have still felt like Star Wars. Which is why so many people have finally learned to appreciate the prequels after the diarrhea we've gotten recently.

The prequels are still awful. TFA, Rogue One, and Solo are all better than the prequels. The awfulness of TLJ casts a long shadow but still doesn’t make the prequels any better.

Yea I understand but my personal opinion is it seems like GI Joe or something, were they fight the same enemies...the empire

The First Order is basically a rehashed empire.

If they made a decent, fun movie it wouldn't struggle to find a younger audience.

Kids want fun and cool. Not political bullshite. Just make good movies and fun toys and the dollars will flow

ETA: my point is the political stuff is suffocating the story. The kids can’t necessarily discern the politics, but they definitely notice the suffocated story and characters

Original trilogy was clear good guys versus clear bad guys with adventure and swashbuckling to boot.

Prequels muddied that by infusing too much political intrigue as well as graying the line between the "sides" of the Force.

TFA was a callback to the original in terms of its simplicity of story.

TLJ was a goddamned SJW mess, disaffecting a lot of OT and prequel fans.

Revenge of the Sith is better than all three of those movies.

That's a ridiculously weak list post mid-90s for "one of the greatest producers in the history of hollywood"
