Are people really buying shitty Mexican ditch weed?
I think the majority of illegal weed sold in the US is cartel weed. They grow the weed in the US. They have a ton of grow operations hidden deep on national forests out west

I agree I’m just thinking of my parents who both grew up southern baptist in lake Charles and both told me weed is a gateway drug and I’ll be on Heroin within a year.
How many people are OD’ing on weed
I also think it’s hypocritical that people can sit at a bar and get buzzed and drive home but I smoke a joint and I’m going to jail.

Somehow I figure that if we let everyone out of jail whose offenses were solely possession, it wouldn’t make a significant difference in the number of inmates.
What is more likely is that a lot of people popped in possession had other charges and it was plead down to possession.
Possession of weed gets decriminalized and it just means a different charge is what they plea down to if they want things to go quickly.

Ok but I can sleep beer off in a few hours meanwhile you smoke marijuana and you’ll fail a drug test for 2 months. You may not realize it but you’re still intoxicated

Come on man, you know this state runs a for-profit prison system. If they legalize weed here a lot of people lose money, and they could give a frick if it helps the state/ keeps people out of jail.
People who say they’re in jail for marijuana are like your cousin who says he’s a sex offender because he peed in public
He committed a real crime but the fake crime sounds better

That's why they give chemo patients weed...it helps them keep meals down and not throw them up because of the treatments.

I hope this give people suffering the relief they need. Question: Why the hell is insurance not covering a legally prescribed drug? Is this big pharma’s doing?

Thanks for the intelligent post.
People think jails and prisons are full of guys who got popped for a dime bag, and that simply isn't the case.

Definitely a great step but still so nannyish with the no smoking option. Baby steps I guess.

I haven't seen a single seed in a sack in a long time. The stuff people are getting these days, including HS aged kids, is FAR higher quality than we (genX) used to get from our hookups. There are so many legal growers in legal states and there are few controls keeping those flowers (or edibles, oils, tinctures, etc.) from leaving those states and heading to states still operating under prohibition. And there's no shortage of folks in states like LA, or in my state, GA, who are willing to deal with the slight risk of getting caught receiving shipments via the USPS considering the profit margins involved.
I don't doubt there's still cheap Mexican weed available and people smoking it, I think the cartels have moved into harder stuff given the market changes. It's just not worth the risk smuggling over international borders given the changed market dynamics and supply in the US.
