You ready... because they are coming for your guns.

Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento, unveiled the gun control package at the state capital last Thursday.
[quote]Now, here’s the kicker. They plan on adding crimes that make someone ineligible from owning a gun, but it won’t apply to illegal aliens because it is a sanctuary state. They don’t turn in illegals for owning illegal guns, even if they are used in a crime.

Banning the possession — not just manufacture and sale — of magazines holding more than 10 rounds.
Making possession of hollow point bullets and similar “assault bullets” a felony.
Requiring anyone wishing to buy ammunition to first get a permit by passing a background check.
Requiring the registration and reporting of all ammo purchases. Limits the number of rounds anyone can have at one time to 500 rounds.
Requiring all gun owners will have to be licensed like drivers, and will be forced to carry gun liability insurance.
Banning any gun that has a detachable magazine, and requires a 100% prohibition of all fixed magazines greater than 10 rounds.
Making all previous grandfathered magazines become illegal, and it will become a felony if you keep one.
Prohibiting anyone barred from owning a weapon from living in a home where weapons are kept
Expanding the list of crimes that would bar a person from gun possession.
Letting the state Justice Department use money from the state’s Dealer’s Record of Sale system to eliminate the backlog of people identified as no longer allowed to own guns but not yet investigated and contacted by law enforcement.

Just means it will be easier to retake California after they leave the Union.

Good fricking lord. Will they please secede already?

So, you will need an ID? Hmmm.....

It's always people who have no clue about firearms that want to write the legislation.
They have no idea that there are safety reasons for using hollow points.

I'm glad Trump is stacking the judiciary right now. Leftists are anti-freedom.

Don’t worry, illegals will still be exempt under sanctuary laws. What could go wrong?

This sort of shows one aspect of their plan: make owning a gun/purchasing ammo too expensive to do. Requiring people to buy licenses, enact reporting systems, etc. to drive up the costs.

But they’re scary looking!

But no one is coming to take your guns....
At least that’s what the left use to say. Now it clear what they plan on doing.

At least the Dems don't have a supermajority in the state legislature

Wait, wut?
I think they need to take another look at federal vs state crimes. Sanctuary cities don't provide immunity from prosecution for state crimes, just from federal immigration violations.

Hollow point "assault bullets"?
are designed to expand slightly to slow projectile to keep it from going straight through soft tissue, house walls, whoever is in said house in the path of it, and out the other side of the house.
Common sense is a super power in that state.
