No I don't believe he does and like every coach, he will tell the OC when he wants to run the ball to grind the clock or he may see a certain situation and say, "hey, run this play here I think it will work." This is probably universal for all head coaches.

If he knows what offense he wants, why are we on our third different offense? How many dynamic, successful offenses has he had as a head coach? How many times as he just let his offensive assistant come in and just run the offense he knows how to run. I'm sure I've said that 10-2 is most likely, 11-1 is ceiling and 9-3 is the floor. Is that not enough of a prediction for you?

Should LSU go 10-2 with a bowl win on top, it would be a damn good season.
In 2014, we lost 5. Should we do it this year everyone will be rightly pissed.
10-3 isn't a great season, this year.

In 2019 predicting 10-2 is cause for celebration and in no way indicates underpeformance at LSU. The fact that a few short years ago 10-2 with no hardware was seen as the program in stagnation and wildly underperforming should be forgotten in favor of the new normal...
