Dabo doesn't touch his defense I don't think.

Every head coach in college football is "touching" the offense, defense and special teams. If you don't think Dabo is having conversations with all of his coordinators during a game about what they're running you're fricking nuts.

For Christ's sake..............

People make a big deal about this because O is not qualified to call a single damn offensive play - ever.

How many of y’all were actually present for the Troy game? It wasn’t offensive playcalling that lost LSU that game. They were flat-out unprepared and unmotivated in every facet of the game. Troy came into Death Valley smelling blood and capitalized it and had some balls bounce their way.

Brossette’s fumble
The field goal before halftime
The OL getting Etling killed
Brennan stinking it up
Defense having near zero gap integrity

then he'll revert back to what he does, low risk playcalling

I think an outstanding kicker lead to some of the conservatism last year. I think we've got a great one coming in but perhaps the fact that he's not as seasoned will help Orgeron with his risk taking.

I also find it interesting that Canada has never spoken publicly about what happened in the whole Troy debacle.

How much does Saban refer to the "UAB debacle", or the "ULM debacle" from his first years at LSU and Alabama respectively? Why does that Troy loss get so much talk? It's not even like Arnsparger losing to Miami-Ohio in his last year at LSU.

It was a loss to a creampuff, although a decent creampuff that finished 11-2, in what was effectively year 1. Big deal.

I don't want DaCoach O meddling with the offense. He just does not have the expertise to substitute his judgment for a top tier OC.
I don't want DaCoach O to meddle with Aranda's defenses. I have full confidence in Aranda.
The justification for hiring Orgeron was to save money on a HC and get the best coordinators available. We already had one of defense. we have had misfires on offense.
Let Orgeron recruit and invoke slogans like "One team..."

Orgeron is ultra conservative, and I don’t think that’s going to change. LSU hasn’t attempted a fake punt or FG since he took over. LSU has also been ranked in the 120’s in 4th down attempts since he took.

This isn’t a “good or bad” situation. It just shows he is not the type of coach who’s going to take more risks than he has to.

In a year we supposedly had championship aspirations. Don't believe me? Ask the coach himself.

You're a weirdo. What is it with you and predictions?

That's my expectation of him. I don't have a crystal ball.

Past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior.

Take you for example. You've talked about Jugs machines a lot in the past. There's a good chance you'll bring it up in the future. I guess there's a small chance you won't, but I'd bet money you will.

I mean, are some of you just purposely trying to be this retarded?

He doesn't try to call plays. He knows what he wants his offense to look like and he can/will tell his OC what to do to get there. It's not that hard.

What are you going to do with yourself if O has this LSU team in the playoffs this year?

The criticism and unhappiness with O comes from the fact that Jean lost 7 games in the last two years.

If he get to the CFO you’ll have some stragglers but most people will be pumped.

If he knew what he wanted his offense to look like he'd just go ahead and hire Norm Chow. He'd fit right into what he wants to hire; USC offensive mastermind, old as frick.

Ed O completely cost us the Troy game by "eliminating" the motion that is the center of Canada's play calling

You’re right, but that in and of itself is concerning.

That was the kind of game we should have been able to line up in the I and run a rotation of iso, power, toss, counter, and stretch 50 times and win comfortably.

Maybe 10 or so slants/crosses/PA passes. But you shouldn’t need any creativity to beat a sun belt team.
