White Nationalist are not White Supremacist

A White Nationalist is simply a white person that loves their country. The "White" is an adjective placed before the word Nationalist.
I am a proud White Nationalist. I am white and I love the USA.
A White Supremacist is someone that believes the White people are superior to all others.
No correlation existing between a Nationalist of any color and a Supremacist of any color.
This is the latest attempt by the Lefties and the media to box all white people into a corner.

If you want to define it that way, that’s fine. But just be aware when you go around declaring yourself a white nationalists that a large number of other people will misunderstand the message you are trying to convey. At least a sizable subset of our population use the term white nationalists to mean those who want a white nation. So if you are going to go around publicly declaring yourself a white nationalist, you will need to either spend more effort to clarify your position or you will need to accept the misunderstanding and the admonishment that will often come with it.

I really don’t understand why being a nationalist, using the definition you provided, is a bad thing no matter what race you happen to be if the nation you’re identifying with is good, if not great.

It its original context the term referred to members of the Aryan Nation.
However, when Trump came along as a US nationalist, the MSM used the weasel worded White Nationalist to sully him. In fact as you allude, it is a perfectly accurate term describing Trump. After all, he is white. He is a nationalist ... in behalf of the US nation.

First of all, why not just call yourself a Nationalist? I mean, I'm white and I like the Supremes, but I'm not going to go around calling myself a white supremacist.
Would you be as understanding if someone called themselves a "black nationalist" or a "Muslim nationalist"? You would require clarification to understand whether they are going to try to beat the shite out of you or be your friend.
The generally accepted definition of "white nationalist" is that they want to develop and maintain a white society. Quit trying to be clever and muddy up the waters, as it's bad enough when all the progressives do it.

That's not accurate. A white supremacists believes the white race is superior. A white nationalist believes that white American culture is superior.

Agreed. Hell, tonight CBS Evening News described some of the El Paso shooting victims as “Mexican Nationalists” and from the tone of their voice sounded like they wanted it to be a term of endearment. The German victim they just described as “and one German.”

Because they are defining a white nationalist as an individual who wants to live in a white nation. Again, you’re using a different definition than what is most common.
