Seriously, just watch the first episode.

I’ll add to this and say watch the first couple episodes. Then if you don’t like it then stop watching and keep your mouth shut. I promise you no one cares that you watched it and didn’t like it

What’s even more annoying that these threads are the people who check in after one episode going “ughh I’m not seeing the hype after 1 episode, should I stop watching???? I’m a big baby who can’t make my own choices :(“

Or alternatively “meh I gave it an episode and it sucked. Don’t get the hype”

I watched the first episode of both Mad Men and The Office. Don’t get the hype for either.

It’s worth starting but I don’t think it’s worth finishing. First season was great. 2nd average. 3rd couldn’t keep my interest.

I don’t ever watch sci-fi but I have loved this series. There is something mesmerizing about it. Can’t put my finger on it.

Years ago I came upon MTV and asked what shows are good that I might have missed and asked for recs.

This board delivered in full. Got to know some good baws with great recommendations.

The board isn't what it was, but look for ppl with similar tastes. Easily shows like ST have high ratings across critical platforms and here too.

IMO MTV is a better platform to learn about shows you wouldn't have known about before.

It took me more than the first couple episodes to get into ST. Actually dropped it for a while and then went back and started all over again.

I watched the first season, it was entertaining. Haven't got around to s2 & s3 because, well, I don't really know. I did the same with Ozark, Westworld, and the Nazi show. All had "great" first seasons but for whatever reason I wasn't in a rush to jump on s2.

The comic book nerds here all think Stranger Things is the greatest thing on television so maybe it gets better after s1?

I plan to rewatch the whole series ahead of S4.

Are you old enough to remember anything about the 80’s? If so then yes, you should watch.

If you grew up in the 80's you'll like Stranger Things just from the nostalgia factor. Outside of that it's still a really fun show to watch. I put it off for years but my 17 year old got me to watch it with him and it was awesome.

It's just a fun show. I was hooked by S1 Ep3.
