I think every fan base feels optimistic about their team at this point every year. For the first time in a long time I feel like this team is poised to potentially beat every team on the schedule (including) Bama. Thanks Richard Lipsey, thanks Woody, thanks Coach O, thanks coach Aranda, E and Brady... 12-0? Stay healthy and improve the OLine in camp and we have a special season in front of us. Main reason? The SEC is a line of scrimmage league and for the first time in a long time, LSU is deep and talented.

Where are your concerns vs our opponents? Season prediction?

I agree with you and think 11-1 is the most likely outcome, but unfortunately this thread will quickly be derailed.

I agree that the trenches usually dictate outcomes of SEC games. The biggest question marks on both sides of the ball for LSU are both lines though. If both are good, 12-0 is realistic.

After so many losses, You can’t plausibly pick a win over Bama until you see a win over Bama. But every single game should be competitive if the offense gels and we stay healthy. There are no obvious weaknesses other than maybe the OT spot.

Excited to finally see this new offense. To me it depends on how the O-line looks on the outside.

DLine is going to be flat out good. OLine is somewhat of a mystery for me as they underperformed last season but recruited a few guys that could make a difference. Blocking Bama DLine and others is a big challenge... that’s why Brady’s scheming for Bama D is hopefully going to be the difference...

I think they will be good too. If you had to pick the weakest spot of the defense though, it's DLine, assuming the secondary stays healthy.

My prediction is 10-2 though I’m hoping for 11-1. Have to treat Bama as a loss until we prove we have gotten over that Bama mental roadblock. Physically yeah I think we are right there with them. Texas, Fla, Aub, and A&M will be all be tough games. We do get three of them at home though so that’s why I’m hoping 11-1. I know people think Aub is down but that’s always a close, crazy game.

With the amount of talent and experience we have coming back, and the fact that we get the majority of our tougher opponents at home, I think that 10-2 should be the absolute floor for this season.

I’ve been saying 10-2. I think Bama is a major uphill battle with what they’re returning on offense and I think we drop another somewhere against one of these 5: @texas, florida, @moo state, auburn, A&M

ETA: I’m just not as convinced as most people that this offense is going to be so good, as bad as I’d love to believe that. I definitely see the potential for that and see how this year seems different from years past, but I’ve just been burnt too many times
believing in LSU’s offense. One thing I know is that we will be running the spread, so I’ll know what I think of this team after Texas.

You don’t think 11-1 is likely? Why not? This year’s team and schedule is set up for it, maybe even 12-0 with a little luck (it always takes some luck to go undefeated).

11-1 is possible. But this is college football, and this is the SEC. 11-1 is just not the most likely outcome.

I think 10-2 is most realistic outcome but obviously would take 12-0
