Why is that crazy

It's not often (ever?) that a single player is thought to be one of the five best for a decade. Shows how respected Brady is by his peers.

For Brees to be the #2 player in the league; that's saying a team would ransom their franchise to get him right now at his age. Nobody is giving up 3 years of 1st round picks and 3 years of 2nd round picks for Drew Brees

I thought the list was about who was the best player in a given season, 2018, not who would you build an expansion franchise around under you scenario I would not take Brees or Brady or frankly Rodgers at this point

They also had JJ Watt as the best player in the league over Brady and Rodgers.

Not a good look for a Falcons fan to start this thread.

I’m trying to figure out how CHJ isn’t on the list. Anywhere.

He’s top 10 for sure, but how can you justify putting him over Mahommes & Brady from last season?

Did you not watch him and Brady last season????

Brees played like a top 5 player in the league for the first half of the season, but Dallas game forward he was pretty bad. Arm looked dead. Hopefully for Saints fans it was an injury or something and not a sign of things to come

Drew Brees had the highest QBR of any starting QBs I believe.

He had a 74+% completion percentage, Mahomes was 66%, Brady was 65.8%

Brees 32 TDs to 5 INTs
Brady 29 TDs to 11 INTs

Not sure the debate, because Brees was better than Brady last season..

Think about the Patriots.. name one decent consistent QB in the AFC over the past 20 years? Chad Pennington?

The Patriots have a free ride to the playoffs every single season and Brady gets all the credit. He is good, but I'm fairly certain if you switch the two QBs, Brees has just as many, if not more, Super Bowl wins.. and I'm not sure if Tom wins one in New Orleans.

Brady is obviously a huge reason for the Patriots success, but he’s not wrong about the division. It’s been a dumpster fire for a while now.

Statistically that division has had the best record since Brady entered the league once you take out division winner records. Just throwing it out there.

He also has a higher winning percentage against Non-AFCeast teams over his career than vs AFC East teams as a whole

Who were the challengers to the Patriots during their reign? I can only think of the Rex Ryan Jets.

Ok?

My brain might be a little fried but I don’t see how that refutes the idea that the AFC East has been a weak division for a long time.
