Having a sleep study at the sleep clinic tonight. What to expect?

Having my first sleep study test done tonight. Gonna get hooked up to a bunch of wires and there is a monitor in the room.
Anything unusual to expect?

It’s boring. Kinda difficult to sleep with all the electrodes stuck to your head and chest. Plus there’s some dude in a room nearby watching you...not really my cup of tea, but some people pay extra for that

Yes they will put all sorts of electrodes on you that will prevent you from sleeping from 10:00-12:00.
At midnight they will put the dreaded mask on you and you will instantly fall asleep. They will wake you up in what feels like five minutes later, but in reality it will be 6:00 in the morning. At that point you will realize that you haven’t had a good nights sleep in a long time.

I figured that it is a racket to get me to buy one of those CPAPs.
