that a joke? Chasing some tv time?

The Pac 12 t.v. times are fine, they just need better teams so that people will watch their games

Larry Scott: “Guys, I have a great idea. We can appeal to an East coast audience by fricking over our own fans, students and players to compete for the weakest time slot in viewership AND actual games.”

So Scott is admitting that Pac 12 CFB is so irrelevant, they have to do this shite to get people to tune in?

They can’t compete against marquee games from other conferences?

May as well go the MAC route and play games Tues-Thurs.

I love the early starts. When I was at OSU you wake up at 5 or 6 go the the bars for kegs and eggs then go to the stadium at 1130. Get a good 4 hours in before the game then have the afternoon to watch more games and drink.

As I get older the earlier games appeal to me more

I'm for it.

Big 10 games suck arse at 11am. Yay I get to watch Ohio state play St Mary's and beat them by 80!

Same

I prefer a noon or 3:30 game more

Early drinking aka Brunch is far better

But how would you feel about going to a game with a 9am kickoff?

I love watching soccer at 10am

So move it up and hour and tailgating at 7 would be sweet

Nothing better than waking up early on a Saturday to do this. I am sure doing this for college football would be a similar feeling.

I mean I don’t expect Stanford-Cal to take me away from Man City - Wolves

But just makes more gambling choices early in the morning

Lol, I guess I'm glad LSU has a preference to always play night games except when CBS picks them for the 2:30 SEC GOTW. No need to wake up extra early to get to campus, plenty of time to eat, drink, and watch the earlier matchups.

I think I had 2 noon games in my 4 years of college because Columbia gets so hot

Another example of the sport catering to the TV audience instead of the actual audience. Then they'll turn around and blame millennials for poor attendance.

When I was a student that wouldn't have bothered me personally, but it would have bothered a ton of other people, so I get that.

I think it was probably not a good idea to publicize they were having these conversations since people will laugh at them, but the time difference is a real problem for them

Sure.... I completely believe an 18 year old would have had no issue getting up at 8am on a Saturday to make a 9am kickoff.

Football should never start before noon.

9am who would even want to go to that nonsense

I mean I had team practice at 8 am every day of the week already, and was up for tailgating by 6 on Saturday mornings, so no it wouldn't have bothered me

Four teams (Arizona schools, Colorado, Utah) are in mountain time, so a 10am kickoff as opposed to 9am. That would give the Pac-12 a handful of games to select a couple of morning kick offs from. That extra hour would be huge for the fans and players.

I gotta think they're going to make another real attempt to poach the Big 12 so they can get into the central time zone- as few as 4 and as many as 8.

Pac-12+4
West: California, Oregon, Oregon State, Southern California, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State
East: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Christian, Utah

Pac-12+6
West: California, Oregon, Oregon State, Southern California, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Washington, Washington State
East: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Christian

Pac-12+8
West (old Pac-10): Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Oregon State, Southern California, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State
East: Baylor, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, Utah
