What TV Shows Hung On Too Long?

Watching post-Seinfeld things on YouTube and Jerry said he ended the show so viewers had only positive feeings about it rather than hanging so long as to have mixed feelings about them.
So it begs the question: What shows hung on too long? Cite script or cast examples if you wish.

Almost every super popular show ever has an obligatory two or three seasons that they had no business having.
