People who think dogs need humans to care for them

I recently signed up for a neighborhood Facebook page. It’s nothing but gossipy old lady’s for the most part, but there’s pretty frequent conversations about these two dogs that seem to get loose pretty regularly. There’s lots of responses about how they are such sweet dogs and that it’s completely irresponsible of the owners to let them lose like this (which I agree because I hate dogs and they’re a damned nuisance) but it’s because they need to be cared for like a child which I find so bizarre.

Lots of people who think owners are irresponsible and somehow cruel if their dogs are left out in the rain for instance. How many houses have dogs had in the millennia of their evolution? They’re animals, they belong outside. Leaving them out in the rain is no more cruel than not sheltering any other animal and we sure as shite aren’t building air conditioned houses for every possum, rat, bird, frog, mosquito, etc that’s out there.

Dogs are dogs and they don’t need humans to care for them. Letting them run free is imo a responsible thing towards the dog since they aren’t cooped up in a damned house, it’s just not responsible towards your neighbors. Weirdos
