Papers were signed DOJ at the time was involved. We don't even know what Epstein gave them on the financial crisis-to cop the plea deal. No one was arrested, Obama fined the fat cats and the money was funneled to Castro for Obama's community organizing garbage. Bush surely didn't put any fat cat financial crisis actors in jail.

If McCarthy says this I tend to trust his inner knowledge. We shall see though. But many have said if the politicos et al... were also going to be convicted it would have been when it was unsealed...

Ok, on to a more interesting thread. Epstein will be tried by the way.

If indictments for all the bad players are sealed they would have been unsealed with Epstein's indictment. Also heard that the OIG report was a dud slap in the wrist it is all up to Barr.

Just to be clear, you are saying that given the following:
Epstein was accused of rape/trafficking by A, B, C. He reached a plea deal.
Epstein is later accused of rape/trafficking by D, E, F.
Because Epstein is being accused of the same crime, by different victims, they are not allowed justice because he previously struck a deal over crimes with different victims?
I feel like something must be getting lost in translation.

SDNY and SD-Florida Are Parts of the Same Sovereign
It is like when the DC Madam was going to release her black book; and she was suddenly arrested for being a madam in prostitution and then was so sad about going to jail for something she had done for probably 20 years she hung herself in her mothers shed in Fla.

Not sure of the constitutionality of the law itself, but I've read that the plea deal was thrown out by a federal judge because Acosta was required under federal law to consult the victims before any plea deal was reached and he not only didn't consult the victims but he also hid the plea agreement from them.

If the plea deal was thrown out why did Epstein only do 18 mos and was let out early?
Posted on 7/14/19 at 6:44 pm to cajunangelle
From what I've read, it was thrown out after Epstein served 13 months on a motion by the victims.
I'm sure that Epstein will be given credit for his previous time served if he's resentenced in a subsequent trial.

I'd say sentenced, not resentenced.

From this linked ARTICLE.....
quote:
In February, U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth Marra ruled that Acosta, then the top federal prosecutor in Mami, had violated federal law by concealing the non-prosecution agreement from Epstein's victims.
Marra said it was "particularly problematic" that prosecutors decided to "conceal the existence" of the agreement and to "mislead the victims to believe that federal prosecution was still a possibility." And they told the victims to "have patience relative to an investigation about which it had already bound itself not to prosecute."

what happened to the standard that a competent prosecutor could indict a ham sandwich if need be. Epstein has wallowed I n enough crap to provide many other courses of action

Epstein was never the target of SDNY.
Causing chaos in Trumps cabinet was the end game.
They will wind up giving Epstein a medal before they drop the charges.

What is the effect of the recent SCOTUS decision that permits double jeopardy?
Posted on 7/15/19 at 10:44 am to Sentrius
My guess is that Jeff Epstein does not receive any sentence that includes jail time. He has a chance for complete acquittal.
