It isn't, I'm sure people aren't risking persecution or even death in some countries over something that's a "choice".

Well, this is just dumb. Of course someone can choose to be gay, and people choose to have dangerous preferences all the time.

Or people don't have a choice in their sexuality making persecution a retarded ideology

Another flaw of society, thinking everything is either R or D, that an idea can't fit both parties.

People need to get past this biased tribal mentality and think on their own.

That group wants nothing held private. In the faces of everyone is right where they like it. It's how we end up with tranny story time at libraries. This stretches beyond consenting adults wishing to live private lives.

You are speaking to the few squeaky wheels in the media.

It's the same type of stereotyping the libs do against the Trump supporters who post close minded shite about gays.

I don't care to see the flamboyant gay and tranny lifestyle, but that doesn't mean I'm going to try and delude myself into thinking they shouldn't be able to live their lives the way they choose.

This is America... you know where people have the freedom of speech...

Given your penchant for getting even basic information wrong, Im not accepting your take at face value.

As others have said, need more info.

As a kid from the 80s this culture is vastly different from my childhood.

Where did you grow up? As an 80s kid from NOLA I didn’t even realize gay culture wasn’t accepted everywhere until I moved to Baton Rouge for college. Even then, I never witnessed any gay bullying. What’s different now is the overly-aggressive campaign to not only have their lifestyle accepted but to have it celebrated by all regardless of others’ personal lifestyles. IMHO the most maniacal are pushing too hard and the rest of the community will suffer for it.

All they had to do was fight for civil union rights and they would have been successful way earlier.

They didn't want that. They want dogs to be called cats and red to be known as blue. Up is down, etc.

Being gay isn't a choice though.

This is as simplistic as saying the opposite and is also a red herring when it comes to forced or aggressive normalization attempts (and those aren't the final solution).

This is America. Freedom.

If someone who has same sex attraction voluntarily wants to try therapy to not have those attractions and develop heterosexual attractions should they not be able to?

We are pumping kids up with hormones to voluntarily change genders at young ages and at the same time this movement wants to ban someone from trying therapy if they want to?

I call BS on that.

It'd only be fair, prudent, and an about face.

These folk, as well others such as 'the rainbow coalition', struck just such a blow with their theft and usurpation of GOD's covenant sign. They proudly wave it to Christians with little impunity as to it's original meaning; while denigrating it with every breath and label pin that they wear. When they give the rainbow back, maybe then it'll be time to not see it like this title reads: The Gays Launch Their Attack On Religious Freedom. Which should more appropriately read still attack religion today.

The majority of gays (note I said majority) just want to be accepted by society without a stigma attached.

I don't blame them for reasonable pride stuff. If they hadn't taken a stand the past 20 years or so, they'd still be in unhappy marriages and forced to live a closeted lifestyle
Yeah, their happiness is all that matters. Who cares about God's glory and moral living? Do what feels good. That's the moral standard that we really want to live by.

Silly conservatives just don't get it. People are just born gay. But they aren't born as male or female. You can't change orientation, but you can change gender any time you want.

A dude banging another dude is something he can't help; he just has to do it. But you don't have to be a male just because you were born one. You don't just have to be a man that acts and dresses like a woman, either; you literally can be a woman. There's no such thing as biology and genetics, and you are a fascist if you think so.
