He is a POS but I'd like to hear his reasoning for voting no. I haven't read the bill and the article doesn't tell you what is buried in that bill. Doubt it was a stand alone, clean bill.

Ron Paul would likely have voted the same and would have been praised for it. But Ron did not diss Trump.

I don't think they should get special treatment beyond what any other emergency responders get, but this won't play well for him.

Who were the other 11?

I have not found a roll call, but all the reporting says that the other eleven were all GOP.

Interesting that the only one called out here by name was the one who has dissed GEOTUS.

I am SHOCKED, I tell you. SHOCKED!

Supposedly the no votes were over concerns for the deficit.

I bet he would have voted for compensation for he and IB because of the arse beating that Chinese sympathizers have been getting from tariffs.

Why? An alleged civil libertarian who supported an investigation, and subsequent conviction in the public sphere of a man who had his civil liberties violated? Without due process or and real ability to defend himself.

My dislike of him has nothing to do with his personal thoughts on Trump. It is entirely about his hypocrisy.

Kind of like some “principled conservatives” on this board pre nomination and election of DJT.

It has to be difficult to be critical of the most conservative POTUS in most of our lifetimes. And yet claim to be a conservative or civil libertarian. It’s fascinating, and entertaining to watch.

Amash is a hypocrite and a fraud imo, but I don't see the problem in voting against the federal funding of healthcare, even for 9/11 victims and first responders.

Probably because when 9/11 happen it became a National thing. 9/11 didn't happen to just one segment of our country it was an attack on all of America and AMERICA should take care of her own.

This is the same argument people who promote the welfare state use. Is the survivor of every terrorist attack then entitled to lifetime federal healthcare? Because if the progs have their way, that will be anyone and everyone.

He made that decision when he left the Republican Party.

If Americans are hurt in war, and 9/11 was an attack on our country, then yes they deserve federal healthcare. To extreme trying to connect victims to welfare...not even close.
