It isn't at all. She is not being persecuted for her beliefs. That's a fact.

Saying her talent wasn't worth harming team cohesiveness isn't saying she was persecuted for her beliefs.

What an absolutely terrible gotcha attempt.

Exactly.

So you're saying she probably didn't make the roster because some of her teammates didn't accept her for her beliefs, while simultaneously saying she wasn't persecuted for her beliefs.

Michael Sam. It was a huge story. Media would've been all over the locker room had he been on a team. He simply wasn't good enough to risk that media distraction. If he was all pro talent, someone would've snatched him up real quick.

At the fear of being called a sexist, but are you familiar with the female species?

They won the whole damn thing.

Coach made the right call on the players.

Can you not read? I didn't say this at all. If anything I'm saying she wouldn't be accepting of the gay players which would cause the issues.

You literally just said her beliefs would cause problems with her teammates.

You're continuously contradicting yourself in the thread.

How can someone be kicked off a team they were never on?

She was basically considered a pretty sure bet to be on the team until “the team” made a trip last year to Europe to play “friendlies” wearing only their gay pride jerseys. She didn’t go because she made a decision she wasn’t going to wear it.

Dude, you literally posted "exactly" in response to someone who literally said she was probably left off of the roster because her teammates had a problem with her beliefs.

I'm not sure how much more clearly you can be shown your posts are complete contradictions.

Please keep trying to tell us all how her teammates not accepting her because of her beliefs is somehow not persecuting her for her beliefs.

Please, please keep saying it. I'm in need of a good laugh.

You might want to read that post again. It says she wouldn't be accepting of the gay players. You're twisting that into words that fit your narrative.

Because you're twisting words. Try to argue what was actually said, but that would require you to drop this embarrassing gotcha attempt.

Again, take a lap, you aren't good at this.

It’s amazing to me that the same people who say we have to accept and respect Rapinoe’s opinion and decision to protest are the same ones who say this woman doesn’t have the right to voice her opinion or to protest.

It’s a crazy double standard.

Well yeah, the left wants to be inclusive to people of all SKIN COLOR not people of all ideas.

If you don't think like them then you are a racist nazi regardless of you background or ethnicity.

What someone posted:

quote:

Likely, but it probably had more to do with team chemistry. With a team made up mostly of gay people, and having a player they knew was against their way of life, it would potentially lead to some resentment and locker room distractions. Exactly.

Your response:

quote:

Exactly.

So her beliefs would cause team chemistry issues with gay players.

Again, continue telling us how she was persecuted for her beliefs.

That's not what I said at all. I said her not accepting their way of life could POTENTIALLY cause resentment and locker room distractions. I didn't say the players had a problem with her beliefs. The players don't make roster decisions, the coaches and managers do. So it's likely the coaches and managers left her off to avoid that distraction and better team chemistry.

The fact that none of the players in question have said anything about this issue should indicate what a non-story this is.
