Regular season NBA >>>>>>> regular season MLB

The majority of Americans could correctly guess the final finish order of both the Eastern and Western Conferences at the start of the season. The NBA Regular Season is such a joke/waste of time.

The cherry on top of this take is:

MLB Postseason>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA Playoffs

Look at the 15 years before and after the start of inter league play. 34.1 million vs 10.9 million

The Home Run Derby with its new rules and new talent was nonstop drama.

Are they really new rules when they have been the rules for at least 4 years?

You can make a legit point without going overboard with it. Not sure how you think this is true.

Well it says something that the NBA doesn't rate better than TNT.

Do you have any idea how much money Turner pays the NBA to air their games

Lol yeah Turner pays out the arse. It’s close to ESPN’s figure.

Surely this means that baseball is more popular than the NBA!

I mean it is. MLB’s revenue blows the NBA’s out of the water and that’s even with ESPN massively overpaying for NBA tv rights.

Yeah that's why.

OTA networks are typically 15-20% higher in the ratings when similar programming is on cable.

NBA’s revenue was up 25% from 2017-2018, but was still about $3 billion less than MLB. I’d say nba is trending way higher, though. Revisit the two in 10 years and I bet the nba will be much higher.

How many more games does baseball have than the NBA?

How many more games does the NBA have over the NFL?

Prime time nationally broadcast nba games are lucky to clear 2.5 million viewers. NFL Live clears that during the NFL season.

ESPN overpaying for those broadcast rights and then saturating their network with endless coverage and promoting of the product has created an artificial popularity of it. “We’re talking about it so it must be relevant and interesting”.
