My email just says the notification emails will be sent in July. Crossing my fingers and waiting for that rejection email.

They send a courtesy rejection letter. No need to check all the time.

Yes but usually the emails lag a little behind the website. Last year people started posting that they were getting emails, I hadn’t received anything yet so I checked the site, and the rejection was there

I just log on to stubhub and don’t worry about it.

Been twice after buying tickets off Stubhub. Never had a problem.

It's a shame what the Masters has done in regards to getting tickets. We use to go every year and just walk up and get practice round tickets. Loved going on the Wednesday with the Par 3 contest. I have family there that allowed us to go every year. They should allow a portion of the tickets to be single day tickets. The Masters only sells full tournament passes, no single day tickets. They should allocate several thousand tickets for single day tickets. Current tickets are allocated to families and never become available. Pisses me off that now you have to fill out an application just for practice rounds.

Practice Round tickets have been pass-holders only for 35+ years.

The waitlist wasn’t getting touched. This was the best way to welcome more people to the holy grail and in a fair process.

Just looked and my account just says the application was received. Guess I haven’t been eliminated yet.

You must be paying a ton for those though. Plus you run the risk of getting your tickets taken away. I’ve heard plenty of stories of people selling their tickets on stubhub, masters finds out, and the passes are voided and people banned from ever going.

I’ve entered every year for the last 7 years or so and got Monday practice round tickets in 2018. It was awesome. And only $75 per ticket. The lottery is a fair system. It’s not like I could afford that trip every single year anyway.

Put my name in lottery for 20 years. Got 20 rejection emails. Used to buy practice round tix on street. Can’t do that anymore. Go every 2 or 3 years, buying tix online. Never had an issue and know I am going rather than getting my rejection email every year

Lottery has only been in place for like 7 or 8 years.

Wrong. Lottery started in 1994 for 1995 practice round. You just too young to remember. Google it. It has actually been around 25 years

The only shame is they cannot create a process where they verify the lottery winners are the ones who use the tickets. Then it would be really fair. Had a friend last year who doesn’t golf and won lottery. Bragged and bragged and sold tickets for $500 each.

That really bothered me for some reason.

The ‘plenty of stories’ you’ve heard are just rumors. That has never happened.

So much misinformation.

This!

I think the practice round tickets were about $16 then. Before 1995, anyone could usually walk up to the gate and purchase a pass, gaining access Monday through Wednesday.

My Father and I would register every year and in the first 6 years or so, one of us got a single day practice ticket 3 times. We have not hit since.

I know it’s random, but I’ve been putting my name in for 7 years with no luck. Meanwhile a guy from high school has been 4 out of 6 years between him and his buddies putting in.

I’ve gotten practice round tickets 2 out of the last 3 years, but no one I know has ever gotten anything in the decade we’ve been putting in

I see where they went to a lottery for practice round tickets in ‘95. They were online then?

I’m finding that hard to believe because I’d spend hours on Masters.org as a kid and teen in the 90’s and early ‘00s and never remember an online lottery process for any tickets until they opened it up 7-8 years ago.

In the first several years, the Masters sent out forms that you filled out and sent in. I don't remember if you signed up for the form online or if you sent in to receive it.

I think the forms were yellow and green (very Masters like). I have been signing up for practice tickets every year since the lottery started.
