Couldn’t take a starting spot from a senior, 1000 yard SEC back that ran behind a putrid OL.
Yeah, he sounds absolutely terrible
I think a lot of people are sleeping on Curry. If his spring game was any indication, he’s got serious power and speed. If the light comes on for that kid, then it’s Curry that’ll pass CEH, not Emery.

Lanard Fournette could be one of the biggest surprises this year. Last season he proved that he is a punishing power runner who also has great hands out of the backfield.
This is a myth. He caught a few passes that my wife could have caught, and he dropped one that my wife would have caught. He might have great hands, but they were not in evidence in games last year. I have yet to see Lanard do anything special on the field. He had some long gainers on swing passes that were uncovered - so what. He is a mediocre talent, and LSU needs him to be third string.

CEH is good. Put some respect on his name
Good? Yeah, he is “good”. He is NOT great, and outside of Brossette, he would be the worst starting running back at LSU in decades, From what I’ve seen of the freshmens’ HS highlights the depth chart at RB by the end of October should be:
1. Emery
2. Davis
3. CEH
4. Curry
5, Lanard

Exactly. And Brossette was NOT an average SEC back. He was an average back for Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

I expected more from Clyde lastt year.He needs to hit the hole quicker.I thought Lanard should of gotten more opportunities because he hits the hole very quickly.

I agree with this. We all have high expectations. But I'd like to see him in action against top talent first. Hell, it even took LF a while to get going.

Yep. Not knocking the kid, and hope he blows up. But, despite what the rant thinks, the coaches know best they see him daily. He will be a role player, and special teams, most likely.
To me, curry could be the one that makes great strides.

The key will be how well he can block and protect the QB. WE know he has running skills.
If he can block as well as he runs, he will start early.

Y’all are ridiculous. Does anyone remember Leonard’s first game against Wisconsin? I was there, and it wasn’t great. Emery won’t be the feature back from day 1, but he will likely take the reins from CEH at some point in the season. I’d be shocked if two backs passed CEH on the depth chart this season.

Lol. And JJ had more wins than most lsu QBs. I'm not against the kid, but this doesn't mean shite.

Yeah I was there too, and I mentioned this in my post above. It took lf7 some time to get going. But, Emory may be more shifty than lf.

Did you just compare wins to rushing yards ? Lmao

Actually I'm saying you posting that shite about more yards means absolutely nothing. Jj was a shite qb yet the team won in spite of him. I'm not saying this guy can't do well, but posting he has more yards than some of those great lsu rbs means absolutely nothing.
I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. I've read your posts on here before. You keep doing you, and you'll get all the respect you deserve.

CEH has done well for us and his high school film also looked absurd. Emery definitely has a different level of speed though. No need to knock one, they will both play a bunch of snaps.

Chris Curry did not impress me at all last year.
He played against a bunch of small schools in high school. shite competition made him look great (which he still could become at LSU). Basically, he was used to running over people in high school, so he never really had to worry about making that first cut. Last year, he got blown up in the hole because other teams knew that when he was in the game, their linebackers could play downhill.
TLDR - His gameday performance was simple to defend against, and he didn't have the ability to overcome that (at least not yet).
