So your commenting on the play call and not the explosive ability of the guy that caught the ball?
Who gives a shite what the play call was just focus on the astounding ability of the player.
Are you under the impression that a jump cut is part of a play call?
No, he takes the screen and uses a huge jump cut on the perimeter and then heads to the middle of the field. That isn't going to work in the SEC because there's too much speed. He will figure that out, but it's going to take time. Just like it does with most freshman in this conference.
ETA: Emery and Davis will both be very good for LSU. Just don't expect immediate impact unless CEH gets hurt.

Better than Sione Paleli
It's Palelei, Dumbass. Not in HS he wasn't. As per the norm, you're wrong. You really need to give up the talent evals, your credibility is shite.

I love CEH and the experience he'll bring, but Emery is in a different stratosphere talent-wise. Beastly upside with his vision, instincts, burst, elusiveness, and pass catching skills. Highest rated RB recruit here since Fournette.
Bama defense says "Hi"........

CEH is a very talented RB. His stature and his strength makes him hard to tackle in space and it helps him squeeze between blocks and slip through smaller gaps. The only problem is that he lacks a 6th gear to take it to the house. I really don't think people understand how small but built he is. Very hard to tackle.
Lanard Fournette is a perfectly balanced back. Agility, speed, vision all average to above average and he's got the weight to be powerful when need be. The only problem is his health IIRC.
Curry is a straight up battering ram. Doesn't have great agility or breakaway speed but will take a lick and keep on ticking. Bigger frame and lowers his pads. Perfect for a goal line back. His vision + the OL being complete arse held him back in 2018. In space he can be a monster.
The only thing holding back Emery Jr will be durability, especially in SEC play. He plays wildly and runs through arm tackles with elite acceleration and breakaway speed. His agility and explosiveness are unmatched by any other back on the team. He's got Kerryon Johnson's uncanny acceleration and vision which will allow him to break through the second level of defenses if given even the slightest of creases.
He looks slight in pictures but if you've ever stood next to him you realize he is definitely not a scat back as some have described him. He's incredibly built. If he can pick up the concepts and scheme quickly there's no reason for him not to take over by mid season as starter.
TDP's only weakness is lateral agility. He's a long-strider so he may not appear to be accelerating quickly when's blazing in reality. Monstrous power when he gets going. Makes up for lack of agility with well-timed, precise cuts and vision. Only second to Emery in raw talent and he's no where close to being a finished product. He'll get better each year in the program as he sculpts his body.

You're underestimating Emery and the competition he's played against at Destrehan. I personally know guys that run laser timed 4.5s that have played against him and said they weren't prepared for how big and fast Emery would be.
Emery runs a 4.4 and has a 37 inch vertical. He's going to make incredible jump cuts in SEC play, trust me.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not start this crap with him too. Clowns like you ruined poor Joe by saying he'd win two Heismans. Stop it. It is a team sport.

Lol it wasn’t even close. Palelei was scared of competition too. Says enough

LSU offense was too predictable and limited when LF7 played. And that is not taking into account if Bama had outside help with knowing our plays or how good the binoculars are for the shadow staff spying on our signals. Regardless Emery and company are now aided by more diversity in play calling which should even things out. That is assuming that Bama is not pulling a New England Cheatriots when it comes to inside 411 on our play calls.

Competition from who? You do realize Darrell Williams never is allowed to sign with LSU if Sione hadn’t found cousins on the team in Stillwater, don’t you? Of course you don’t.
LOL, I would suggest you compare video of CEH and Boo in HS, but what would that accomplish? Your talent evaluation is atrocious and there is verifiable proof of this.

RB competition at LSU. Well documented he was scared. Darrell Williams will enjoy an nfl career while that bum sells cars

Clyde isn’t an LSU caliber running back, same for Lanard and same for Curry.
Posted on 7/5/19 at 11:03 pm to Jack Crevalle
Won’t do this in the SEC

If his last name wasn’t Fournette he would be a complete afterthought on this board.

Good? Yeah, he is “good”. He is NOT great, and outside of Brossette, he would be the worst starting running back at LSU in decades
