LSU fan who went to UGA

Obviously my username says it all, however I made the decision this morning to stop lying to myself and root for the tigers as my #1 team.
I grew up in BR a mile away from the stadium, moved to ATL when I was 12 and ended up going to UGA. My freshman year LSU lost to UGA 44-41 (Mett vs. Murray classic) and I was cheering for LSU the whole time on the inside.
Last year I went to BR wearing red and black with LSU boxers on. I was cheering for LSU on the inside and was very content with the outcome.
I'm starting to realize that the only reason I've told people I'm "50/50" when it comes to UGA and LSU is because I'm worried about what people think because I am a UGA alum. But it is out of my control, I love the tigers and everything about LSU sports more than I ever will with UGA.
What do y'all think about this? Anyone stuck in a similar situation?
EDIT: For the record, I HATE the Falcons. Every year I've lived in Georgia I've hated them more. The biggest bandwagon fan base in the country. Nobody gives a sh** when they're below .500

I’ll be at the Univ of Idaho soon and then hopefully Washington State after that.
I’ll always rep as LSU as #1

No sir. Sorry, but I cannot say that I have ever been a fan of any other team except LSU. I only watch pro ball to root for former Tigers. But I am glad that you come to realize that there ain't nothing like our Tigers.

I'm from Texas and was a diehard aggy fan growing up. My big bro let me go to a bunch games with him and I'll always cheerish those memories. But, I went to LSU so A&M can suck it. Root for whoever you want though.

I think home is where the heart is.

I'm in the opposite situation. From North Carolina originally, went to LSU for grad school, and here I am. It really is a whole different atmosphere at LSU, it's why I make a trip to BR every fall.

Good for you.
Personally, I don't think I could pull for someone else over my alma mater, but it's your choice. You do you.

You and Todd Graves have similar UGA/LSU stories, nevertheless

Do you currently live in Atlanta now?
What part did you move to?

I grew up in Baton Rouge all the way through high school but went to ULM because I was interested in pharmacy and they offered a pre-pharmacy major. My dad and I went to many LSU football and baseball games when I was growing up. Needless to say I'm a huge LSU fan despite being in Monroe finishing up school.

Born in BR, lived there until I was 14, then moved to Austin. Came back to attend LSU before eventually transferring to Sam Houston St. Wore LSU stuff around campus the whole time—even worked for the Bearkat Sports Network while usually wearing my LSU cap. It’s okay, though. I had a SHSU lanyard.

This is my secret reason for wanting to move the family to Baton Rouge from Atlanta. Couldn’t stand the thought of my kid thinking he was a Georgian.
He’s so in love with Baton Rouge now, we can move anywhere and he’ll know where is home.

As someone who was born in Baton Rouge, moved to Georgia for ten years, graduated high school, abandoned my Hope Scholarship and paid two years of out of state tuition to attend LSU:
frick UGA. Geaux Tigers.

There's no other team/school like LSU man. Just like there's no state like Louisiana. Geaux Tigers.

I grew up in Georgia as an LSU fan. I didn't want to go to UGA, Auburn or ga southern like my entire class was doing.
Lucky for me, they still had the legacy scholarship. My mom graduated from LSU and I had 3/4 of out of state tuition waved.
Moved to br, made it my perma address and got instate tuition after a year.

I think it's kind of strange. Imagine a kid who grew up in Georgia, moved to New Orleans at 12, went to LSU, but stayed a Georgia fan. You should change your name to Abby Normal.
