Four sources have confirmed for Daily Report that Alexander’s father, James Alexander, was the recipient of the $180,000, who is referenced in the court documents only as “Individual C.” James Alexander is a self-employed entrepreneur who lives in the Atlanta area, according to his LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Multiple attempts to reach him and Vadal Alexander, who went on to play in the NFL, most recently for the Oakland Raiders, were unsuccessful.

Former LSU coach Les Miles, who led the Tigers during Alexander’s college career, says he is stunned to hear of the payments. “I didn’t know about it and wouldn’t have expected that in any way,” says Miles, now the head football coach at the University of Kansas.

I think Mr. Funes has a lot of explaining to do.

I don't know that I've seen a picture of JPF until now. What a goofy looking SOB

i am more concerned we weren't getting better recruits if this kind of money was being offered.

If y’all want a silver lining, I don’t think the NCAA will levy sanctions this far out and with a different coach and AD.

Has nothing to do with LSU. Funes was giving people money and those people were returning part of the money. It was Funes way of funneling money back to himself without a direct paper trail. Funes was NOT paying families for their children playing at LSU. This had nothing to do with LSU. I'm sure there will be other people he funneled money to that didn't have kids playing at LSU. If the NCAA want's to hand out sanctions then they need to do so by sanctioning the HC's that were at LSU during the time these payments were made. Meaning Saban and Miles.

If I weren't an LSU fan my first thought after this and the Wade saga would be "Those LSU baws do a poor job of covering their shite up"

So this is getting mildly concerning.

yeah this raised my level of concern from a "1" to a "3".
Still not at Ole Miss or UNC or Miami levels of blatant disregard for the rules though.
