no. if it's legit, we would never finalize it until it's time to draft at 4. we may get some godfather offer up to that point

Pacers are probably making sure Garland falls to 4.

yeah exactly

this is why the Knicks are trying to act like they may draft him at 3, to get similar deals

I'm not to fond of investing so much in a center, but Turner is a whole hell of a lot better than the crap the media has been putting out there.

I'd prefer to keep #4 but Turner would be my favorite option if we move the pick.

I agree. I think im slightly leaning towards taking Garland and keeping him, but if we move the pick for anyone, Myles Turner is the best option of all the rumors we've seen so far.

I’m not big on investing lots into centers either but this kid looks to be such a perfect fit that he plays great defense and can still run the floor and shoot the 3. Bradley Beal would be one of the only players possibly available that could impact the team more than Turner. Lauri Markkanen would be a great trade with Chicago but they don’t seem like they will even listen to offers for him no matter how badly they need a PG.

If Garland is not there at 4 then pels will draft Barrett.

exactly... you don't tip your hand and decrease any possible value and bargaining power you currently have... you make other teams outbid this possible deal, to gain access to as many assets as possible...

Myles Turner and pick Guy Jerome with 18, I'd be good with that.

This deal seems too good to be true, but considering they are loaded at the position I could see Turner traded for our pick, throwing #18 is bonus to me.

Turner is an elite defender, 6th in blocks, still averaging 13 ppg while splitting time, 38% from 3PT, very efficient all around and a perfect match with Zion. I think #4 straight up for Turner would be good deal for Pels. Maybe add Aaron Holiday so he can thrive with his bro.

The Holiday bros throwing up lobs to Zion and Turner... man

Just curious I think I saw that Turner just signed a new deal and will be at $18M/per starting next season till the 22/23 season.

I really don't care it's not my money but what does that look like for our cap? If this were to happen.

Our practical cap space (when removing cap hold players) is $33.9 million

We've got plenty of room for Turner, plus I think when he's in a role not splitting time, $18 million / per is a value deal for next 4 years.

Our cap space will also grow next year when we dump Solo Hill's waste of space $13 million

Pacers adding Goga makes no sense to that roster unless somethings up with Sabonis or Turner.

I’m sure they’re expecting to lose one. Just being proactive.

Zion vs Barrett

Did you watch Duke play this year? Barrett was the focal point of the team. Here's his numbers next to Zion. While he is NOT the prospect Zion is, RJ is most defiantly a stud and proved to be one of the best players in college basketball this year.
