U2 guitarist The Edge's dreams of building an ultra-luxurious, $100million family compound overlooking the Pacific in Malibu have been all but shattered,

Doesn't he care about climate change and his carbon footprint? He should be rejoicing the decision.

But all of those leftist Sierra Club assholes will be happy for him to pay the $1 million a year property tax on his property that he isn't allowed to use.

I'd laugh if he left the land unattended and allowed a bunch of homeless and illegals to squat just to watch the Sierra Club and tree huggers heads explode.

Maybe when the greenies looked at the new design and they still hadn't found what they were looking for.

Looks like the lawyers won again - 10 million fricking dollars and a 14-year-long legal battle??? The actual land wasn't even that expensive. He bought it for 9 million.

If the land is that sacred that he couldn't build whatever the hell he wanted on it after spending 9 million on it, then it shouldn't have been sold to him in the first place.

I have never understood the attraction to that band. Every fricking song sounds exactly the same.

Maybe he should have checked out the local zoning regulations before he bought the land.

There's a reason 150 acres in Malibu was only $9 million.

How could even live in Trump's America? Why doesn't he just stay in Ireland?

Music being subjective, everyone can have a different take on this.

However I think October, Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum and Achtung are all great records that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed over the years. Anything after 2000 is ROUGH.

There is nothing The Edge could do to make me hate him. He was too big a part of my coming of age years

Evans - to no avail - altered the architecture and planning to accommodate environmental groups and agreed that the houses (pictured in this rendering) would be built with 'earth tone' materials, they would have non-reflective glass to cut down glinting, and outside light bulbs would be no more than 60 watts to prevent too much brightness at night

You can't appease progs
